Road noise

This was a nice lift kit. It did not change the way my vehicle handled. The only problem that I've had with this is that it doubled the road noise that I used to have. Other than that it is a great product.

Great lift

Easy to install great looking lift when done... I added the steering stabilizer and Mono Tube shocks and rides better than stock... I had twin tubes with it and didn't like the ride one bit...

2.5 years after installing the lift...

The Rubicon Express 2.5" Suspension #RE2005 has been on my 1991 Jeep YJ for over 2.5 years and all is great. I have since removed the transfer case lowering kit and installed a SYE along with a front driveshaft from a Jeep XJ that has been shortened to use in the rear of the YJ with the SYE. The suspension hasn't settled anymore but does flex a lot more. I am still running 265/75R16 BF-Goodrich All-Terrains and with the front sway-bar disconnected the front tires will rub the fender under full compression. (with the sway bar connected there is plenty of clearance for the 32's) I'm planning to either fab up some bump-stop relocation brackets for the front or downsize to a 245/75R16 tire. Another option is to run a highline front fender. The rear is still good though I did use a heat gun many years ago to reshape the front edge of the rear factory flares to allow clearance for the 30x9.50R15 BFG Mud-Terrains at stock height. I am very happy with this suspension.

Same as factory

Great lift kit but make sure to know what shocks you want and order them with the kit. Has a great ride not sure yet if I will add stabilizers.

Great with my 35's

I bought the Rubicon Express 2.5" lift from 4wheel parts and installed it myself in a day. Fits great, looks great, works great. I have 35" AT's and the 2.5" is enough for these tires. Took it to get it aligned and the shop used the included shims and was able to get a nice alignment, although a couple measurements are outside factory spec. However, it drives and feels good going down the road even at 75 mpg.

Track Bar Bracket

While the lift is of good quality I highly disagree with the addition of the rear track bar relocation bracket. This shifts the axle to the drivers side considerably and does not settle in even after the stated 500+ miles as described by the tech when I called. I removed the bracket and it realigned the rear axle perfectly and does not change the directional geometry of the rear end. After more than 3k miles of on and off road use (some quite technical) it's still perfect.

Nice lift kitFor the Money

Installation was straight forward. Anyone with a basic understanding of suspensions and hand tools can do this install in a few hours. My only complaint is with the rear track bar bracket. The written instructions are vague and show a axle side bracket. The one supplied in my kit was a frame mount bracket. Looking at the bracket, it was easy to tell how it is supposed to be installed. Also this bracket is offset which pushes the upper track bar mount rearward about an inch. Other than that the ride quality was extremely rough for the first few days but settled and is very comfortable after 100 miles . Great kit for the money, and gives the Jeep a great stance on 35s.

2.5 inch lift

It's a very nice upgrade. I enjoy everything about it and the ride quality is fantastic. There is still work I want to do and this is a great start. Very satisfied!

Rubicon 2.5" Lift

Got my lift done last week at my local 4WP and I have to say that I'm satisfied with the front height and ride quality. It was definitely worth spending the extra money for the mono tube shocks. My only complaint is that the rear sits about an inch lower than the front. I'm planning for a new bumper in the spring so I'm hoping the extra weight will bring the front down some.

Great kit

Hardest part of the install was getting my old rusted parts off. I'm running their 5" grease-able shackles as well and got about 3.25" lift all around. Couldn't be happier. Only disappointment was the paint job done on the leaf springs. Some parts hadn't even been covered, nothing a little spray paint couldn't cover. Once you place the order, email RE and get the rear shock relocation bracket. No sense messing around with flipped shocks. Definitely would purchase again.

Affordable Upgrade

I HAVE A 2011 2DR JK WITH 48000 MILES ON IT. I INSTALLED THIS LIFT ALONE IN 5 HOUR. IT IS THE PERFECT HEIGHT LIFT FOR ANY JK WITH FLAT FENDERS. I HAVE 305/70R16 (32.8X12R16) DURATRACTS ON IN THE PICS. COULD EASLY FIT 37 INCH TIRES. I WILL BE INSTALLING 295/75R16 (33.4X11.6R16)BFGOODRICH TA/KO2 NEXT WEEK. IT GAVE ME A REAL LIFT OF 3.7 INCHES OF LIFT FRONT AND BACK. THE RIDE QUALITY WAS INSTANTLY NOTICABLE, EVEN IN THE DRIVEWAY. THE RIDE IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN STOCK, AT ALL SPEEDS AND ON ALL SURRFACES, AND IS EASLY UPGRADABLE. I WILL BE PURCHASING MORE PRODUCTS FROM RUBICON EXPRESS AND 4WHEEL PARTS AGAIN. THANKS

Good lift for a good price

I bought this lift without shocks as I utilized a set of Bilstein shocks. Lift went in relatively easy with just me installing. When completed, the Jeep still had a 3/4" rake from back to front even with the stock OEM bumpers on the frot and rear. Rubicon Express is going to provide some 3/4" spacers because I was afraid that once I installed a front bumper/winch that the front would sag even further. Pleased with the lift overall - ease of installation and support from Rubicon Express rank as the top pros. The ride doesn't appear to be any more harsh than stock - we are talking about a jeep so it isn't going to ride like a Caddy!

Kit works good and performs well so far!

Install took my son and I about 10 hours. Granted we are very novice mechanics and new Jeep owners. Instructions provided, although adequate enough for us to get the job done, are very lacking for a novice. More detailed instructions (or more experience on our part) could have easily saved us a couple of hours.

JK 2009 2 1/2 Lift

First of all this was the time my son and myself have attempted this type of work. The instructions although sufficient, seemed to be designed for someone that has done this before. They are very sparse and could use more "how-to" and pictures of the parts they reference. We could have easily saved an hour or two with more thorough instructions. For us beginners, 10 hours start to finish... That includes an hour or so for lunch and running to the store for new ratcheting boxed end wrench. As far as the product, everything fit as it should and looks and rides great. It's only been two days since install so time will tell.

Quality Kit, Easy Install

Quality leaf springs and recommended kit is why I purchased. Install was straightforward once the 20 year old equipment was all removed. Can't speak for the durability or longevity of the kit yet, but with the military wrap springs, I expect they'll be much better than the stock springs. Ride is better quality than the flat leaf springs, but still a short wheelbase, solid axle, leaf-sprung vehicle, so if ride quality is high on your list, you're in the wrong market.

installed on a 2008 Rubicon, Kit went on easily, watch your brake lines, I am pleased with the lift and look forward to adding larger wheels and tires.

Awsome. Nuff said.

They are very beefy for only being a 2" lift but they are amazing. I would recommend these parts to everyone who wants to lift there vehicle but still keep it conservative.

Best there is

I love this lift it will flex better then any other lift I have used or that a friend is currnently running. I use it for daily driving and the ride is alot better then stock, and the ride is alot better off road. I use the lift for hunting and climbing hill, ditches, and anything else we find in South East Georgia. My freind recently ditched his other brand lift and went with Rubicon Express, because mine would out preform his everytime. This lift is truly the best $$$ I ever spent!!! Google 89JEEPOWNER or go to Cardomain and you will see my Jeep Before and after the lift. I currently run 33's

Like Riding a bull over 60

It is a great lift off road. Great flex, and even better with the sway bar disconnect. Once over 60 on the road it is like riding a bull. I have 33x12.50 duratracs and in the mud its great. Mostly used for hunting vehicle and for nasty mudding. Any lift i have rode with on a vehicle is rough, better than most
