RE 2.5 lift w/Mono shocks

Easy installation inside my garage!! I used a battery powered impact wrench, basic hand tools and jack stands (install took about 6 hours). Lift Kit comes complete (minus the front and rear brake line extension brackets, which Rubicon Express also sells and highly recommend, easy to install and does not bend your brake lines). The coils and Mono tube shocks feel very nice on the street and do not ride hard/stiff at all!! Feels very comfortable for every day driving as well for use on long vacation trips!! Took my 2014 Unlimited Sahara off roading and Wow, was I impressed with the ride quality. The Flex was amazing and shocks performed great!! The kit includes bump stops if you plan on installing 35 Inch tires, but are not needed (per installation instructions) if you use 33 inch tires or less. I have the factory 18" wheels (275-70-18) and looks good with this 2.5 inch lift kit. This kit worked great!!

Amazing Ride Quality

I picked up this lift to replace the 3” lift that came on my 2014 JKU Rubicon. It was a night and day difference! The ride of the dual rate springs is amazing! My Jeep went from driving like a brick to a plush, stock like, ride!

Fun times

I wanted a good leavaling kit 2.5 4 wheel parts recommended Rubacon Express. I will say I am very happy it's been installed 3 months now. I have gone trailing not mall crawling and I am very excited. With 33s I have a good amount of clearance.

Great liftkit highly recommend

I love this lift. It was an incredible upgrade for my 89 Wrangler with the sagging worn out original springs. As others have suggested get the relocation brackets for the rear shocks and I also recommend stainless steel front lines as well. My Jeep looks amazing now on the BFG 31s and I couldn't be happier. The ride is really smooth, but is still stiff because, well it is a YJ.

Perfect lift for 35's!

I wasn't sure which lift to get so I went with what 4wheelparts (Portland) recommended, the 3.5" on 35's. They did the install and it turned out perfect!!!! I couldn't be happier. It looks great, perfect height, especially with the 35's. Not too tall, just perfect. It still works well as a daily driver, and is more that capable to handle most off road adventures. I've thoroughly tested it in mud, sand and rocks and it's great. Thanks Austin (Portland,OR shop).

Got an old YJ? Get this kit

I picked up a 1994 YJ that had tall shackles and stock springs. The springs were almost flat because of the shackles and the ride was like zero suspension. I bought the RE 2.5" kit and couldn't be happier. It was stiff at first, but settled in nicely. I really appreciate the solid feeling I have now when driving headlong into big bumps. Is it bouncy? Yes, it's a Jeep. But it's a solid feeling bounce, very nice ride. FYI: I also installed some new RE boomerang shackles and Rancho 5000 shocks all the way around. I am VERY happy with the upgrade

nice product

This lift kit came highly recommended by our local 4 wheel parts shop...and I am very pleased with it. It provides a nice highway ride without sway or wander, but yet is not too tight and sensitive like our last suspension lift on an earlier model Jeep JK. We love it! It provides us with everything we wanted for our Jeep JK 2016...just enough lift for 33x12.5's and the heavy duty coil springs to allow us to add bumpers, winch, and other things without sagging...and to think that it can be upgraded to get more agressive for offroad as the Jeep becomes a third vehicle instead of a daily driver is very inviting!

Rides great!!!

I've had this lift for 18 months and I totally love it. Rides great very comfortable not stiff at all. I have an aftermarket bumpers front/rears/tire carrier with 35" tires and winch. The only thing I would suggest especially if you are going to have the set up like mine is to get the .50 leveling kit TER1954105 so the rear evens with the front. I'm about to put the leveling kit because I think my rear is sagging a bit from the tire.

Good way to spend an afternoon

Easy installation, I was able to complet the lift in an afternoon in my drive way, with only a few basic tools. While I had my jeep up I also installed Rubicon Express Control Arm Drop Brackets, and Rubicon Express Sway Bar Disconnects. both very easy to do and would highly recommend doing. The Mono tube shocks offer a superior ride quality over stock and they look sharp under the jeep. The kit did leave the nose of my jeep about an inch lower that the back (I do have a steel bumper and winch) But nothing a 3/4" spacer couldn't fix.

3.5" Standard Rubicon Express Lift

The lift can easily be installed in a garage. The instructions were fairly detailed. There were a few times there could have been better pictures or instructions. The worst part of the installation was knocking out or cutting out the tabs in the control arm brackets. You will most likely need a really good carbide cutting bit for a die grinder. This will make the installation much easier and faster.

Great Budget Boost

Easy to install! Stout spacers, great shocks. Took the Cadillac float out of my wj! Stiff springs but its a lift, that's expected. Shocks preload great, handle great, and look great.

Good product, Rides great

Really easy install and it rides great. It gave me almost 5" of lift without aftermarket bumpers.

Great value Great quality

This Rubicon Lift is great for the person that uses there Jeep for everyday transportation as well as moderate off road trails. This lift has not affected the ride which was one of my major concerns but still gives me off road versatility .

Road noise

This was a nice lift kit. It did not change the way my vehicle handled. The only problem that I've had with this is that it doubled the road noise that I used to have. Other than that it is a great product.

Great lift

Easy to install great looking lift when done... I added the steering stabilizer and Mono Tube shocks and rides better than stock... I had twin tubes with it and didn't like the ride one bit...

2.5 years after installing the lift...

The Rubicon Express 2.5" Suspension #RE2005 has been on my 1991 Jeep YJ for over 2.5 years and all is great. I have since removed the transfer case lowering kit and installed a SYE along with a front driveshaft from a Jeep XJ that has been shortened to use in the rear of the YJ with the SYE. The suspension hasn't settled anymore but does flex a lot more. I am still running 265/75R16 BF-Goodrich All-Terrains and with the front sway-bar disconnected the front tires will rub the fender under full compression. (with the sway bar connected there is plenty of clearance for the 32's) I'm planning to either fab up some bump-stop relocation brackets for the front or downsize to a 245/75R16 tire. Another option is to run a highline front fender. The rear is still good though I did use a heat gun many years ago to reshape the front edge of the rear factory flares to allow clearance for the 30x9.50R15 BFG Mud-Terrains at stock height. I am very happy with this suspension.

Same as factory

Great lift kit but make sure to know what shocks you want and order them with the kit. Has a great ride not sure yet if I will add stabilizers.
