I would do it again! twice!

While I only saw a 1 mpg bump, I saw a definite increase in pedal response. Plus it sounds tough under full acceleration! Still quiet under regular throttle though. I dig it!

Women can do it too

Super easy to install even for a female. The screws however are a little on the wimpy side. Snapped one in half and didn't even have it tightened down all the way. Recommend either getting your own screws or be prepared to call the factory. Gives a nice little rumble when you step on it. All in all, very satisfied.

Great Part

Installed this in minutes. Very easy to do. Could see a great improvement in performance on the first drive. Highly recommend this.

Made a big difference

The air raid synthamax cool air intake made a big difference, even from the k n n stock replacement filter. Very satisfied. Haven't been on the highway yet.

Works Great, Love the Sound!

I just installed this Airaid intake on my 2010 four-door JK and was very pleased overall. The cold air intake included absolutely everything I needed for installation, right down to every nut and bolt partitioned in the hardware bag according to each step, which I thought was a nice touch. The provided metal panels replace the stock intake box and do a good job keeping the filter isolated from the hot engine compartment while having plenty of openings to let cold air from the outside in to the filter. Now as for the filter, I was torn between doing their oiled "SynthaFlow" or their non-oiled "SynthaMax." In the end I chose the dry filter because I mostly drive around town and didn't want the hassle of oiling the filter. It seems to be great so far. Overall I'm really impressed with the more aggressive sound and there's a noticeable increase in power down low, which is where these engines desperately need help! I've had several other brands of cold air intakes in the past, but this is my first Airaid system. It won't be my last!

Bolt On Power, Great Quality

There are lots of cold air intake systems for Jeep Wranglers out there, but after doing the research it seemed like this intake kit from Airaid was the best bang for the buck. It did not disappoint! Everything needed for installation was included and the instructions were very detailed. As a result, installation took me less than an hour and I'm not all that mechanically inclined. The cold air dam panels seem to do a good job keeping the filter away from hot underhood air while having plenty of spots for the filter to take in cool outside air. The new intake tube is also way better than the factory corrugated piece. I felt an improvement right away; a little better down low but really a big improvement from the midrange to about 4,000 rpm. I love the new growl under the hood as well. I was concerned that I might need a tune with this kit, but all the factory literature says it works with a stock tune, and no check engines lights so far after over three months. Oh, I went with the oiled SynthFlow version of their filter, and it works great. It definitely helped restore the power I lost when I installed 33s on the Jeep. This is a great addition or any TJ owner.

Noticeable difference!

Took a while to install due to the rust on the Jeep already but once I got past that very simple! Also i definitely noticed a difference in power which is much needed for the 2.4L. And it made it sound a lot better than the screeching of the 4 cyl engine! I would most certainly recommend this item!

Wakes Up a Cherokee

The AIRAID Quick Fit cold air intake for the Jeep Cherokee is a simple upgrade that delivers impressive results. It consists of Cold Air Dam panels that replace the upper half of the factory intake box. These snap into place and use weatherstripping to seal against the bottom of the hood and keep the intake isolated from the hot engine compartment air. The kit includes an oversize filter that flows way better than the stock paper filter and has more surface area for more airflow. The intake definitely made an improvement in midrange power, improved my mpg, and added a nice growl when I really get into it. It really wakes up the 4.0L!

Suprised

Purchased this from the 4 Wheel Parts in Coppell Texas over the weekend and installed it the next day. Installation was pretty quick and easy (except for getting the temp sensor out of the stock intake hose). Total time for install was less than one hour. Could really tell a difference in acceleration from a stopped position as well as acceleration while passing on the freeway. Nice throaty tone while accelerating as well, but not over the top. Very happy with the gain in lost power from adding the 4 inch lift and 35 inch tires!

Great Product

Easy to install unless you are picky as I am about installs. I had to redo couple times because of wanting to reroute some electrical wires from the winch. Other than that it's an easy install. After installing a similar (NOT Airaid) product on a friend's Jeep, I noticed the high quality and stability of this one. I've just added it to my rig so not sure of MPG differences. I'm sure it will increase. This, along with the Airaid throttle body spacer, the throttle response is incredible! So Glad I purchased this one!

Great air filter system

Detailed instructions provided that makes installation a snap (about 30 to 40 minutes). A benefit I wasn't expecting was it really enhanced the sound through the exhaust making my Raptor sound more throaty than before. Throttle response is improved and gas mileage seems to be a bit better. I have used AirRaid in the past and truly like this filter system

Does the Job

This intake is a great way to improve the performance of your Chevy truck and improve fuel economy at the same time. It replaces the restrictive factory intake with an open-element style performance air filter with cold air dam panels that keep the filter isolated from hot engine compartment air while adding plenty of cool outside air. The replacement intake tube further optimizes airflow to the engine and has places for all of the factory tubes and sensors to bolt up. The system sounds great when you step on it and I really saw an improvement in part throttle response.

Major Improvement

Just take a look at the air filter used in this kit; it's MASSIVE! This cold air intake replaces the restrictive factory intake with a free-flowing cold air system that gets more air to the engine and lets it breathe. I'm really impressed with the quality of the materials used and the installation was really easy; absolutely everything needed was included in the box. I coupled this intake with an exhaust system and saw a huge improvement in power, and even picked up a solid MPG. I'd recommend this to anyone!

Excellent product

Installed under 30 minutes. Made truck sound better. Engine breathes much better. Acceleration improved. I would recommend this for any F150 truck owner.

Just What My Tundra Needed

After getting this cold air intake kit for my '10 Tundra, it's easy to see why it's one of the most popular on the forums. The supplied panels keep the filter isolated from the hot engine compartment air while allowing plenty of cool outside air in, and the intake tube drops right in place of the cheesy factory tube. You can definitely tell the engine is getting more air, not just from the sound but also by the better throttle response. In fact, I think AIRAID's rating of 10 horsepower and 12 lb-ft of torque is conservative. Couple this intake with an exhaust and a chip, and you've got a real screamer! If you're in the market for a Tundra intake system, this is one to take seriously.

Makes a better F-150

This cold air intake is a great addition to the late-model F-150, BTW, it fits 2013 trucks even though the description says 11-12. I could really feel a difference in power and I've picked up a solid 1.5 MPG. I also love the growl when you stand on it, but it's not at all obnoxious during everyday driving. Installation was really easy and just took common hand tools, and everything fit perfectly. It adds a great look to the engine compartment and more power to boot!

Great Kit, Fits Well

The 7.3L Powerstroke is a great workhorse of an engine, and the AIRAID Cold Air Dam intake kit is equally hardworking. This system includes a whole new battery tray assembly in addition to panels that keep the engine compartment air isolated from the filter itself, since the factory tray and airbox are more or less built together. The filter used in this kit is massive and really lets the engine breathe. Everything installs easily with simple hand tools, and best of all the intake system comes with a lifetime warranty.

Worth It for the 5.4L

The 5.4L is a great engine but Ford really got it wrong on the intake because the factory system is really restrictive. The AIRAID cold air intake system is just what thee trucks need. The kit includes a new intake tube and panels that keep the new air filter away from hot engine compartment air. The panels make room for a larger filter that flows a lot more air than the factory paper filter, not to mention it's washable and reusable. I went with the oiled filter with my intake kit, but it's also available with a dry filter. I love the sound this kit makes when you really stand on it, but other than that it's quiet around town and not obnoxious. Pair this intake with an exhaust and a chip, and you've got a whole new truck!
