Unleash more of the engine's hidden horsepower with Airaid performance intake systems. Airaid's unique inlet track and filter combination is substantially less restrictive than the OE configuration.
This product helps the vehicle breathe better, slight gain in HP, nothing great though. Everything lines up good during the installation process with one exception. The supplied bracket that stabilizes the center of the air tube and attaches to the center valve cover bolt did not line up correctly, so I didn’t use it. The entire system is sturdy enough.
great product, fit easily into my Truck, All parts needed were there
Purchased this from the 4 Wheel Parts in Coppell Texas over the weekend and installed it the next day. Installation was pretty quick and easy (except for getting the temp sensor out of the stock intake hose). Total time for install was less than one hour. Could really tell a difference in acceleration from a stopped position as well as acceleration while passing on the freeway. Nice throaty tone while accelerating as well, but not over the top. Very happy with the gain in lost power from adding the 4 inch lift and 35 inch tires!
Easy to install unless you are picky as I am about installs. I had to redo couple times because of wanting to reroute some electrical wires from the winch. Other than that it's an easy install. After installing a similar (NOT Airaid) product on a friend's Jeep, I noticed the high quality and stability of this one. I've just added it to my rig so not sure of MPG differences. I'm sure it will increase. This, along with the Airaid throttle body spacer, the throttle response is incredible! So Glad I purchased this one!
Gained horsepower and fuel mileage, instructions easy to follow and install quick less than an hour. Oh sounds great too!!!
Detailed instructions provided that makes installation a snap (about 30 to 40 minutes). A benefit I wasn't expecting was it really enhanced the sound through the exhaust making my Raptor sound more throaty than before. Throttle response is improved and gas mileage seems to be a bit better. I have used AirRaid in the past and truly like this filter system
This intake is a great way to improve the performance of your Chevy truck and improve fuel economy at the same time. It replaces the restrictive factory intake with an open-element style performance air filter with cold air dam panels that keep the filter isolated from hot engine compartment air while adding plenty of cool outside air. The replacement intake tube further optimizes airflow to the engine and has places for all of the factory tubes and sensors to bolt up. The system sounds great when you step on it and I really saw an improvement in part throttle response.

Q: Would you wait to install this when adding new exhaust, or could this be added by itself? I've read on some F150 forums that you also need to tune the engine, but I thought that could void your warranty? Thoughts? Thanks, Matt Answer this question
A: Hello Matt, Thank you for the question. You can install this prior to exhaust installation. The factory (Computer) ECU will self adjust when installing this and the exhaust.
