GIVE YOUR TIRES ROOM TO WORK

ITEM WILL GIVE ABOUT 4 INCH'S OF EXTRA CLERENCE OVER STOCK .VERY WELL MADE GIVE ABOUT 3 INCH OF EXTRA TIRE COVERAGE MUST TAKE YOUR TIME FOR A GOOD INSTLATION. ONCE INNER BRACKETS ARE INSTALLED AND YOU PUT THE RUBBER SEAL ON THE FLAIR BE SURE TO PUT A SMALL AMOUT OF LIQUID DISH SOAP ON THE INNER BRACKETS JUST BEFORE INSTALLING THE OUTER FLAIRS. THIS WILL PREVENT THE RUBBER SEAL FROM BEING TWISTED AS YOU SLIDE IT OVER THE INNER BRACKET.

Flat Style Fender Flares

The kit was easy to install and the detailed instructions were easy to understand. The only thing that I did not like was, The plastic locks that were used on the bottom of the back flares. They should have given you sheet metal screws instead. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone who would like a great new look to there Jeep XJ.

The Flat style fenders look great

These flat style fender flares look great. They were fairly easy to install. But to speed things up, throw an extension in your drill driver and zap those dozens of screws out of there. You will end up damaging the old flares a little, but who cares. They're old and nasty and you're just going to throw them out anyway and it will save you hours of labor. The directions were a little vague about how to install the stick on rubber seals. But after a few min it was pretty obvious. Also. Don't pull out the rear tub liners completely. you only need access to the back of the upper screws. Just pull it down enough to get your fingers behind the tub. Then just pop the top edge back in when your done. Easy.

Better quality than stock

I spent 2 very hot weather days installing these flares. The results were worth it. Compared to the stock parts, these are much better quality. Front flares are held onto the tub with a hidden mount system using stainless steel bolts and nuts with nylon inserts vs a bunch of cheap plastic retainers for the stock fender flares. The texture of the material nearly matches stock bumper covers, which helps them blend in until I decide on new bumpers. In fact they look like a quality factory upgrade. Much better clearance on the trail, easy to clean, get compliments on the looks from onroaders and offroaders alike. All parts were included (with nothing to spare, so don't lose any pin, bolt, screw, etc.). My only gripe is the use of the new plastic push pins to temporarily hold the stock inner liner while trimming(per the instructions). Even pushing them only partly on, they were almost destroyed when I removed the trimmer liner before final installation. I followed instructions exactly. Extra fasteners should be included for this purpose. They can't be that expensive. There were a couple very minor errors in the instructions, that were easily correctable. Overall the instructions were exceptionally good, with more pictures than text. The pictures were accurate and easy to follow. I am very happy with this product. One of my best Jeep mods to date.

Amazing Coverage

I have an 06 LJ rubicon, 4" lift with 33x13.50x15 toyo mt's under it and these give awesome coverage and allow more flexibility

Great looking addition to a modified TJ

My only concern is what happens the first time these flares lean into a rock or canyon wall. Don't mind scratches - hope they stay attached like the OEM TJ flares. Would like to see a 3-4 inch width offering because of the above.

overall very nice!

Looks great gives you clearance for larger tires. Was a pain to install very tedious. Holes didn't line up that great had to punch my own holes in a few. They don't wiggle a bit and seems durable.

good way to make your tires look small

Great for an everyday driver, offers great tie coverage. led lights seem rather cheap. Will see if they stand the test of time. very pleased with the fit and look that was achieved. can't go wrong with bushwacker.

Love the fenders but difficult install.

Love the fenders and they look great on the jeep. The install was not so smooth. Aligning the fender screw holes over the mounting pieces was not easy. I used cardboard pieces behind the speed nuts to keep them in place but it was still difficult to get the holes to line up. I did the driver side first. On the passenger side I put the mounting pieces into the fenders to check the alignment of the holes and they lined up. Still wasn’t easy but the passenger side did go better. On my 2014 JKUR I did not have the factory retainer / nut for the inner shield. Wound up getting one from the dealership for an outrageous $10. Also had to drill a hole for it since there was not a hole in the shield. The bolt was there so it worked out in the end. Be patient, take your time, you will eventually holes to line up and fenders will look great!

Not bad

Great look and overall fit. A couple issues... Lining up the clips for the screws is a pain in the ass. Second, the package had the wrong parts so I'm waiting on a response to be able to put the back set on. After figuring out the first one, the others fly right on. If you are a picture person when it comes to directions, have fun because these are hard to make out.

Great looking! A little patience to install.

I needed some fender flares. Did my research. Read reviews. Ordered flares and planned time for install. Installation was easy for everything except the actual flares. Bushwacker should fire who ever designed these and who ever let them come to market with this flaw. When you go to put the flares on none (And I Mean NONE) of the holes line up to attach the flares to the brackets. My opinion is they did this brilliant engineering without the weather stripping on, so when you put it on all the holes are pushed out too far. Once you figure this out you have to have a sharp awl to push up through the back of the hole and you can finish the installation. Other than that, pretty nice product. Love the look.

Time and patience needed

This not a quick install if u intend to reuse the stock liners. I watched a good youtube video that was very thorough. Some of the bushwhacker mounts had to be shaved down bc the weren't straight and wouldn't fit flush. Give yourself some time and don't rush and the results will be great. I am definitely happy with the result.

Thin plastic

They look very nice and were easily installed by following a YouTube video. However I wish the plastic of the actual flares was thicker and higher quality. I scratched one easily as I had it leaning against the hood while applying the weather tape.

Looks Great / Good Quality

The only reason that I didn't rate the flares a "5" was that the mounting screw holes on one of the flare supports did not line up with the flare holes. I notified the manufacturer and they sent me a replacement; it caused a 1 1/2 week delay in completing the project. The flares look great and the quality is very good.

Looks great!

I love the way the fenders look. It really finished off the look. Now all I need are some 35’s to fill in the fenders a little better. As others mention it sucks cutting the factory inner fenders to fit the new fenders, but it works. I messed up cutting my first rear fenders and had to buy a new one, but at least they are cheap. I wish they offered the fenders with pre-cut inners, it would be worth the extra cost.
