Be ready for anything - equip your Jeep Wrangler with Bushwacker Flat Style Fender Flares. They're the first and only flat style flares made to absorb impact, using our proprietary Dura-Flex 2000 TPO - the thickest, most flexible material available. Flat Style Fender Flares maximize your tire coverage and wheel articulation for severe off-road use. Yet they're carefully engineered to install with a minimum of extra tools and bodywork. For example, our mounting brackets bolt straight onto your Jeep for added strength and simpler fitting. Our design integrates neatly with the factory rocker guards, and incorporates DOT-compliant LED side marker lights and fully molded wheel well protection. The flares are 100% UV protected, too, to stop chalking in its tracks. If you want the look - and the real-world performance - that best fits an American icon, nothing goes with your Jeep better than Bushwacker Flat Style Fender Flares.
These fender flares look great and shipping was super fast!! The install was okay if you know what you are doing but all the parts needed some type of clean up or tweeking before install. The pictures on the instructions were garbage and no help at all those could be fixed for sure. All in all they seem like a great product but I still need to test them off-road. Thanks.

jeep xj flat fenders
Looks good. Mild trimming of bodywork. Fitment wasn't bad, but could have been a little better. Only real downfall was how long the back order took.

Installing bushwacker flares
when i had looked up online at these flares i was in the beginning hesitant on getting them because of the reviews. YES, the instructions are JUNK.. but its pretty well common sense. everyone i had talked to said the same thing, "i thought bushwacker short shipped me 14 bolts/nuts/washers".. but in the end the rears only take 2 bolts and nuts on each side and the rest are push clips because there is no getting at the rest of the holes due to the configuration of the wheel wells. what takes the most time is trimming the splash guards (wheel well liners) correctly.. they state "cut to short it wont tuck in the flares or not short enough the flare wont fit"... there actually very to do, rears are a piece of cake because its very simple fit, front takes some time to do. instructions bounce back and forth just confusing stuff... in the end instructions got me in the path and common sense does the rest! would i buy again? yes, sexy flares.

Overall great product, keeps the mud and debris from being thrown up into the cab or on the side windows after installing larger tires.
One thing I'd change is the side marker light sticks out past edge of fender, and I worried the trees and brush will rip them off. They should be recessed a little more. The other concern is if someone presses down, leans on, or steps out onto the fender, it might peel the double-sided tape free and I'll be starting over.

Adding clearance in addition to lift
This is second set on second jeep. They are awesome looking and add clearance to avoid rubbing or damage while wheeling. Cops around here would like them to be cover wheels better but that is not a draw back in my book.

looks great, instructions were difficult
Took about 2 hours per fender in front, bout a hour each in rear.
Would of went much easier had instructions been in color and more descriptive.
The previous comment about switching the wires around for lights was a huge life saver.
All and all finished product looks amazing and adds a ton of room for tires.

Test the wires before attaching fender.
Great directions except for wiring. Marker lights are LED and are different electrically from factory lights. Directions only stating to switch wires if lights don't work initially. They could have said, "Wire opposite, connect black to white". Aligning screws for final installation is a lot of work. I had the best luck with starting the screws one at a time at the rearward part of the fender utilizing a small punch. Remember to test the marker lights before actually installing fender. Also, the marker lights don't act as turn signals unless other aftermarket wiring is done (Check out YouTube).

Stiff as rocks, not flimsy. Fit perfecty over a 33x12.5 tire anything over 12.5 you will have the tires sticking out and rostertailing in the rain. Love these things!
