Reviews: Bestop Trektop NX Soft Tops

This product was very easy to install. I read instructions which were designed for those who only read pictures. I also watched the Best top installation video on U tube. The video stated about two (2) hours to install I completed it in 45 minutes. I did lay the top and window in the sun (98 degrees) for 2 hour prior to the installation. This worked great, no down time for stretching and zippering the windows to the top. Great product, no brainier to installation. Fits great.

I just installed this top on my 2013 jk and it looks awesome. It took me about 2 1/2 hours but I took my time to install it. Instructions could have been a little more descriptive but pretty self explanatory. Already driving with the top back and windows off.

Looks great on ny TJ. The sunrider feature lets me and the girlfriend enjoy the sun while the kids in the back are out of it. Strongly suggest 2 or 3 guys to install side windows. They are a stretch. The thicker fabric is much quieter on interstate than factory top was. I love this top!!

This top is an excellent replacement for the factory top. Road/wind noise is comparable to the factory installation. One day of Florida thunderstorms and one visit to a car wash have revealed no leaks. Install at 75 degrees or higher, and use the Jeep heater to assist in softening and stretching the top.

Definitely the coolest looking soft top for your Wrangler, if not the easiest to install. 2 hours or more with 2 people on a very warm day, minimum. It works great! Using this for a summer top in place of the factory hardtop, I figured it was a fair weather top. We went shoping on a Saturday when it POURED down steady for 2 hours, driving around in town, sitting in the rain, etc...... no leaks!!!

This top was very easy to install. It fits tight and looks very good. I love the look and performance so far. I have been through heavy rain with no issues.

Make sure it is a warm day and the sun is on the top. If not it is very difficult to stretch the fabric.

I put this on my 13 JKUR and it is a great look, comes with everything you need, instructions are not the greatest but nothing you can't figure out. great look to give your Jeep an individual appearance and having a soft top and bikini top all in one is a great idea.

Great fit and it is more quite than I thought it would be even at Highway speeds. The online YouTube install video is great to watch before. Need to get the top in the sun before you put them on and do exactly what they say in the video. We took the soft top and sides off this weekend and did some cruising and was a breeze to put back on (Maybe 3-5 min. with the help of my wife).

Saying that this was an easy install goes short of how easy the install was. I looked over the instruction and looked on YOUTUBE at the video on the installation if you are a visual person this works great. This replaced my hard top for the spring through early fall top. It can be used as a safari top by unzipping the windows and storing in the jeep, what a great option when you travel out of town and want to remove your top. You can remove and reinstall as needed in about 15 minutes. If you are in the need for a new soft top I say go with this. GREAT JOB TO BESTOPS.

Great looking top for my 2007 Jeep Wrangler 4dr Unlimited X. Makes my Jeep standout from the others on the road. My only suggestion is you do a You Tube search and use a combination of the video and the instruction manual to help with the install. And like so many others have said you need to let the top and sides sit out in the heat for at least an hour or two because stretching the fabric out to fit is a bit of hassle. Other than that I'm completely satisfied with the look and fit of this top.

Although I am completely satisfied with my Trektop NX, it was a rather lengthy process to install. I did it myself and it took me close to 3 hours to install. Use a friend! Directions were a bit confusing with very little narratives. Use the video! Very helpful. I would completely recommend this product. In fact, I already have and my buddy couldn't be happier.

This is definitely the best top for replacement.

Got this top for a 2012 Wrangler Unlimited that came with a hard top. I was a bit worried about the install given many of the reviews stating how hard it was to get the fabric on. First off, I never looked at the instruction book, I installed completely based off the manufacturers video I found on youtube, and I found the install easy. I am not the most handy person, and have never installed a top on a jeep before. Though I just went slow, watched parts of the video many times, and never had a single issue during the install. One advantage I had is that I let all the fabric sit in the sun for about and hour on a 95 degree day, so it was nice and supple when I installed it. Even then it took a little bit of force to get some of the panels installed the first time.

When installing it you have to make sure that the top is warm to make the installation more easy (read possible). put it in a warm place for 1 night like i did... or place in the sun.

This top is hands down a better design than the stock soft top. great looks, full back window adds more visibility in the rear, reduces wind noise and has a lower profile that the jeep one. the upgrades with the stock style header and the fold back bikini top are great additions. BEAWARE::: your initial install will involve some swearing. there are 4 brackets you need to install and you have to make small cuts in your rollbar covers to install these. take your time line up the brackets first THEN CUT. i actually installed the 2 brackets for the cables bassackwards and ended up cutting twice. not happy. the swearing will come when you try to get the 3 windows on. if it is not hot outside find a warm place or get the top on and put the windows in the jeep and run the heat for an hour or so. you will find that every part of the top when cold is an inch to short. take your time, get a case of beer and get a buddy to help. after the top is on for a week or so it streches out nice and removing and installing is a piece of cake.

Ordered this to replace original top because it has no frame, has tinted windows and can become a safari top. Also looks sporty. Ordered at Truck & Jeep fest and waited over 4 months but worth the wait. Fits fine with factory half doors and soft uppers. As good or better than factory. Also thanks to the guys at the Austin store for a job well done.

I was looking for an inexpensive alternative to my hard top for summer. After getting caught in the rain once with my hard top at home, I decided to buy a soft top. Needing all hardware to replace a hard top, I decided the trektop nx was for me. I have had it on for about two months and I am extremely happy. Very versatile with several options for summer cruising. Watch the youtube video for an easy installation the first time.

I have really come to like this top. It replaced an aging soft top which was leaking. This top is nice and tight with no leaks. I love the simplicity of the sunrider top portion. Its so easy to flip the top back, with the old one it was multi steps with the extra support bow. Great deal as well. Cheapest way to replace the top.
