Great winch, but be aware of the fact that it comes with NO bracket for mounting the solenoid! You have to order the bracket separately from Warn at an additional $22 cost with shipping! Why can't they just raise the price 10 bucks and give you the stupid bracket?? Performance wise though, it's first rate and one of the best winches out there.

Bought this Warn 8000 Winch at the 4-wheel parts show the weekend after it was installed I had it in full operation. Easy to use I put it on my 2005 Tacoma.

I bought this winch for a Jeep JK Rubicon I purchased. I also have Warn winches on a Ford F350, and a Jeep CJ5. Although I don't use them often, they've always done the job when needed.

it has a great, reliable, and easy to use. but they could have done better on the bracket that the electrical box attaches to the winch

At[$] plus shipping this price is just above inferior quality winches (IMHO) - after reading reviews and talking to fellow off-roaders, it appears there are some sub $400 and $300 winches that perform well for a few pulls then PROBLEMS begin. The components are not sealed like they are on the Warn product, which may be part of the issue with quality. I have heard other issues around cheap quality steel in the gears of other branded winches - Love this winch! Mounted up quickly!

ive had 2 warn m8000's and have been exceedingly pleased with both of them, we winch from some pretty extreme places and every warn not only on my jeep but in our whole group has never had a failure... can't say as much for other brands my friends have used

If you are looking for an 8000 lb winch, look no further. With Warn's recently reduced pricing, the M8000 is now the affordable ticket for a dependable winch in the 8000 lb class. There are no downsides! The construction, durability, the manual and even the packaging are all top-notch. The winch is easy to use, easy to free spool, and utterly reliable. It is really a cut above the competition. After testing other brands, I will only run a Warn from now on!

great for any off road extraction needs whether mudding or rock climbing.

winch came with broken plastic cover on contractor. it had to be packaged that way. plastic cover was replaced.

4 stars because I have done nothing but pay it all the way out and then pulled my LJ across the yard. The quality of the winch and ease of install are/were great. Ordering and delivery went well.

The winch works awesome the 1st time I used it was to pull a 20' Uhaul from getting stuck in snow (it was only yp to the rim but still) single line 2nd time was my fault i was showing off and got stuck in snow up to the axles and single line pulled my self out... So far so good :D

This will allow me to go places with confidence that I wouldn't attempt before.

Great winch, great price, great looks, etc.... But was really disappointed in the delay of having to come up with a solenoid bracket. Finally had to cut, grind, and drill my own. Coming up with a winch mount for an 82 CJ7 was like looking for Elvis! What should have taken a day, was a scavenger hunt. But all said and done, it's beautiful, worked great in playful testing.

Warn should let you know that the mount for the control box is not included and is a extra cost. Not as shown on box...........

The only 2 things I have to say is that i still have not received my wireless control and the bracket that holds up the winch control box was missing.

I use my winch evrytime I go out wheeling it is a great product

Install was a breeze and the winch has done all that I have asked so far. It pulls at a good speed. The only thing that I'd change is adding an integrated solenoid.
