Reviews: Smittybilt XRC Gen2 Front Bumpers

We have installed about 10 of these bumpers in our shop and they always line up with the factory holes so you can leave that step bit in your toolbox as there is no need. This bumper is well thought out and as an over skeptical installer it supersedes all our demands. Plus in the non Rubis, you can retain the factory driving lights! Rare in a stubby type bumper. D-rings go through the plating and are welded on the inside as well as the outside of the plating.

I bought this bumper because of the looks and for the functionality of being able to use it for flat towing behind my motorhome. The system I use is from Loadmaster and I have put over 9000 miles on it since I bought and installed the bumper. Only down side to this bumper is the weight.

The bumper was easy to install. Looks great and is built solid! I would defiantly recommend installing the winch (if applicable ) after the bumper is installed.

Make sure you have help and review install videos. Instruction sheet leave you with questions.

True heavy duty front winch bumper. Excellent Design and durability. Great fit for 10,000 winch .natural flush fit for factory ome fog lights. Average Joe install of three hours . Highly recommended.

Smittybilts website does not do their products justice. This bumper is so well thought out and designed. It's super stout and the replaceable plastic sliders are brilliant! I also purchased their 12k winch, I am more than pleased with the brackets that mount the bumper. Installation was make easy with the great instructions and the accuracy of the mounting points. This is truly a "BOLT ON" bumper. No shimming, cutting or getting creative required. Lastly, it's sexy as hell.... We wheeled the next day and used the piss out of the winch, ground some boulders and that bumper didn't flex, dent or give a millimeter. Needless to say, I just bought the matching rear.

Easy install, front and rear look great together. Went onto 4wd and came straight out the door with them.

Very solid bumper. Pretty basic install. I was able to do it by myself. You'll definitely want to get a winch with this bumper. I don't have one right now and the opening looks huge without it.

Very pleased with fit and quality of this bumper. I bought the rear bumper to match, and get compliments on the Jeep all the time. Appears very sturdy and well-constructed. Great value for the price.

Very well made, heavy grade steel, nice finish. It bolted right on. Took about 3 hours to install with wench.

This bumper is exactly what I wanted. It looks incredible, was fairly easy in install, and is heavy duty. The packaging was outstanding, I was warned about poor packaging and damage from shipping, not here it was delivered in perfect condition.

Well built bumper, strong and great finish. Very easy to install. Install took about an hour.

This bumper is fantastic! Looks so much better in person, I would definitely recommend. The staff at 4 Wheel Parts did a outstanding job installing.

Love the bumper and winch. I didn't have time to inspect the bumper at the the 4W parts shop but once I got home I realized that there was a dent in it. I was not happy that they didn't notice it when it was being installed. Other than that I am happy with it

I would say a very heavy bumper with marginally acceptable install instruction. Many parts left over making you wonder what you forgot. The lower frame mount brackets had me stumped but finally figured it out. The tiny Allen screws for the fog lights are horrible for guys with big mitts. I also think the top bar would have been way cleaner without light brackets.
