It rattled at the latch immediately…badly. I found a solution that they should do from or during the mfg process. The little elbow block on the bumper where the gate swings closed and rests on it should have a rubber buffer. It fixed my rattle but to be honest I was very worried at first. Very well built product, does exactly what it’s supposed to do and the install was pretty straight forward. Overall pleased.

Fit really well on our 89 YJ. The only modification we had to do was bevele out the mounting hole on the frame so the bolts could line up on bumper. Dropping the gas tank was required. Also taking the bottom hinge off on rear door to allow the swing gate to be mounted. Does cause the spare tire to block you rear view more.

Looks great and for the price really solid, not cheap at all

Product could have come with more easy to read instructions for the specific jeep model that I have. When installing, be sure to mark holes for drilling at the same height, this way bumper sits level with frame (mine is off by a 1/4" and will not lock door in place. Wish product came in shiny black option also, instead of the basic texture. The textured paint also make placement of bolts and the hitch so tight that you need to sand some out to fit a few of them (especially the hitch). Product works great though for taking the weight off of the tailgate, just as it was designed to do.

Great solid bumper (Heavy!), it even includes chain rings on either side of the hitch (not pictured). The only problem I have is that it is incomparable with my rear 32" spare tire. I'll just have buy a modified spare tire carrier if I want to haul it around.

Bought this bumper to carry Smittybilt receiver rack. Easier install than expected. Much more sturdier than described. Receiver has tow hooks and reinforced box.

After removing the gas tank the install was easy. There are four bolts on the inside that were imposible for my fingers to start threading. Right now I have a 32" tire mounted and am going to a 33" later on. The welded in hitch receiver however is not straight, it kind of points down.

Bought this at first because it was a cheap receiver bumper. I intended to reenforce it and add chain hoops but when I opened the package the bumper was already boxed and had chain loops. Also was rated as a class 4 tow. I used Rokmen frame tie ins and have pulled my trailer confidently. I said difficult to install because you do need to drill, and it's a real pain to get the backing plates and bolts into the bumper with the fuel tank in place. All in all, you can't beat the price. GREAT bumper!

I carry a 33 inch tire and it dose its job very well. But the post that carries the tire rack is not strait up it is kick out at the top so the tire leans out. But it will do job. I would still recommend it to a friend.

The hitch and bumper are very nice quality, looks great too. There is only one hitch, pun intended, the back of the bumper, the mating surface to the frame is not flat. The hitch tube and weld beads protrude out from the back mounting plate. Causing it to hit the frame and a 1/4-3/8ths inch gap in the middle between the frame and bumper, and also causes the inner bolts to barely penetrate the threads making it a very weak mount to the frame. Poor craftsmanship to say the least in this aspect. But is my only complaint about the bumper. I would recommend, but with warning about the hitch tube issue, as I will now have to remove the bumper and modify a brand new bumper, in order to fix the issue so it will mount correctly.

Had to lower fuel tank to install on a 2006 wrangler. Drilled 1/2” holes instead of 7/16” to make lining up 4 inner bolts easier as those were the ones I had to lower the gas tank to help reach and they were still difficult. 6 factory holes lined up perfectly. Bumper is great. Would give 5 stars but the latch rattles on bumps.
