Spacey, great tent that fits 4 people comfortable. Im a big guy, and this delivers. Make sure you check out the measures of it first before installation, this is pretty big.

Great tent for the family to use! 4 of us fit in there with room to spare. The included mattress was a little on the thin side for my Wife and I, so I added a 2” thick memory foam topper for added comfort. Setup and takedown are simple and can be done by myself. I’ve added some exterior lighting and a motion sensor LED light inside of the veranda for the late night bathroom trips. I just ordered the annex for it but it has not seen any use yet. I’ll leave reviews for it after we use it up in Michigan’s UP later this month. Overall it’s a great product that will be enjoyed for many years.

My fiance and I went in on this together with out tax returns, and it has not let us down. We haven't been able to go anywhere just yet to camp with it, but we have camped in our backyard probably 10 times by now because it is so easy to set up and then it is just a blast to be in. I can not wait to take road trips now and be able to camp anywhere with ease. I will try and get some photos uploaded!

It took me a couple practice rounds, but once you get the hang of it this tent is ready in less than 20 minutes. I've taken it out a total of 6 times in the last 4 weeks and I've been very impressed. I know the new version just came out, but the older Overland Tent is still a fantastic product!

I have absolutely no problems with this tent. It works great and has held up to heavy wind and rain as well as freezing temps. I think the finish as far as brackets/mounting holes may not be as perfect as other brands, but it works fine, and for a fraction of the cost!

This rooftop tent exceeded expectations and doesn’t break the bank. When it is all closed up it holds heat in well and can be used in cold and windy weather with no issues. There are plenty of vents for the summer heat as well. The size will fit three adults comfortably. Money well spent.

I drive a 2012 JK with a soft top. I have the SRC body rack and this attacbed easily with one other to help. We used the Smittybuilt Roof Top Tent throughout the fall and winter camping season and I could not be happier with this tent. It is large, warm confortable, easy to set up and to take down with only one person if need be. It's sturdy in high winds, snow and rain. Yeah, I know it is not meant for the roof of my JK, but with the SRC body rack it works fine. I even get better milage with it on compared to my rack alone. I have not had any wierd wobbles highway speeds and yes it has some road noise, but it is bearable. It loud already with a soft top. I would highly recommend this tent. Summer is around the corner and we are looking forward to taking the rain fly off at night to see the stars. I wish that I could upload a pic.

I've used this tent now for a full season, and I'm very happy with it. I have it mounted to my trailer at 72" off level ground. When it's open there a nice covered are to sit under. Set up is easy and takes less time that setting up a ground tent. We added a 2" Queen size memory foam pad to supplement the mat supplied, it's very comfortable now. Camping in Temperatures of 100* to 15* we've found that leaving a window or ceiling vent open really helps keep condensation down. Only small issue we've had is the hardware for that hold the mounting tracks in place came loose after doing a 100 miles of rough dirt roads. I recommend using Locktite when assembling the tent. I also added two extra mounting points to the cage on my trailer. Overall it's a great tent for people who like extra space, two adults in a queen size double bag, two dogs and bags fit comfortably in the tent. At the price it by far the best value out there,

Purchase the Smittybilt XL tent for my 1948 Willys Jeep trailer that i restored and fabricated a roof rack on it. The tent fits perfect and is exactly what I needed. Shipping was fast and 4WD customer service was excellent! Couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Love the XL roof top. Easy setup other than the awning part. Keeps plenty of people dry with plenty of space. Wish the mattress was a little thicker. I purchased a pad and leave in it when folded up.

Very strong and stable. Setup instructions are a bit vague, but can be figured out. Highly recommend setting up at home first, to figure it all out. Being able to open the top and having a view of the night sky is amazing.

I have had this on top of our rig for a few years now; I didn't want to review it until it survived a few seasons here in Colorado. I have used it in the 100 degree desert heat of Moab and the 0 degree temps of 13,000 foot alpines in Colorado. It stays on top of the xterra year round and has survived 100's of trails and two winters with absolutely no flaws. I am buying my brother one for christmas...its that good.

Works great with the annex on top of my custom trailer

I camp a lot and usually like to have a base camp and then hit the trails so installing the tent on a trailer so you don't have to break camp each day is a big plus. I used the Smittybilt XL tent as part of my trailer build. The tent is awesome. The only issue I have is there is no instructions on how to install the poles that hold open the flaps or how to hold open the doorway flap.

Best value RTT on the market! The construction and design are amazing and the added LED light strip is a huge bonus.

Excellent quality. Plenty of space for myself and 2 children. Worth the money! Great family time.
