It hooks up to the shackle mounts nicely. Comes with brackets for a flat surface bumper to. Has very little up and down movement. Be sure the ball you are hooking up to has the correct rise or drop to make it level. Plenty of side to side movement for turning. Tow my jeep to St. Louis from Springfield with our dodge ram to visit family. Only do 60 MPH. Gets squirrely past that. Unhook and we have both cars. She can go see her family and I can see mine. Saves us 50 bucks each way. Will pay for it self in no time. Box it came in is weak for the weight. It was retaped by ups after a bushing fell out. Got a replacement by fitting 2 sizes inside each other at Ace hardware to make one the correct size. Works great.

Flat towed my jku with 37’s approx one month and 7-8k miles. 75-85mph I used brake buddy too and no problems. I used spacers on my rugged ridge front bumper due to some play but it worked well once I made them (basically 1/4” fat washer).

Perfect for flat towing the TJ e bought in PA for my daughter. Hitch, chain and mounts worked fantastic. My bonus was the TJ already had a Smittybilt bumper so I it attached perfectly.

Easy assembly , will be primarily used for traveling with the sxs

Just towed 1300 miles from Florida to Connecticut, my 1998 wrangler behind my 2020 wrangler, towed great not squirrelly, 65 Mph. No trouble

I looked at a lot of tow bars and this one was the best I found for my use. I have a Poison Spyder bumper perfect and was easy to set up. Two of my off-road buddies switched over the this tow bar after seeing mine.

Bought this to tow Jeep behind RV. Attaches easily and works fine. Only gripe is that they only provide you with one set of safety chains. Why not add second set? Being a new Jeeper, already improvising. I located a polyurethane bushing to go between tow bar and D ring mounts. Cuts chatter and noise. Also substituted pins with safety clips for bolts at D ring mounting.

I attached this to my Smittybilt bumper and pulled my jeep 1200 miles from GA to TX
