Make sure you order the correct part number. For a 2012 JK Unlimited with black you need to order part number 17235.58 .I notice a few people said theirs were the wrong color and too short. I called Rugged Ridge and made sure I had the right part number before I ordered. It is correct hieght and color match. Also the lighted Daystar switch works great with panel and is not to bright for the a pillar location.
no problems with install, just follow instructions
Looks great works great would recommend looks like its part of the jeep
Was very easy to install. The only hard part was cutting out the holes for the switches. I don't understand why they didn't do that when it was formed. That's my single nitpick. Other than that it went in just like it was supposed too.
this pillar looks and works great. I didnt think it would match but it does perfectly
Perfect for installing a switch for my KC lights.
Great quality but should have come with there keyhole dust cover.
The switch panel was a snap to install. Only complaint: the instructions call for a clip to be removed from the tailgate wire cover. Seriously!? Send enough parts to complete the job. Overall, though, very pleased with looks and function.
It would have been nice to have the switch holes cut out especially since it came with switches and also a wiring diagram for the switches. Everything else was easy and it fit perfectly.
Great looking product; fit is a little tight and color a tad off from my JK but really happy with it.
Felt proud of the look when completed the install
Really easy to use, compatable with most switches (I used Daystar and they looked great with the pod). Only drawback I saw was the pod was a lighter color then the black interior of my 2011 JKU, would mesh better with 2007-2010 JK Wranglers.
If you have a 2012, you may want to wait for the updated version. If you're like me, and you have no patience, then this is what you can expect: - The color of the pod is a lighter gray. The interior of the 2012 is darker (almost black). - The pod doesn't exactly cover all the way down. you can still see some exposed wires in the pic. - There are two clips that are needed for the pod to connect to the pillar. The 2012 only has one clip, but it can still work. It works great, just not for the 2012. :-)
The Pod does the job, but it's not quite the right fit or color for the 2012 Jeep. (see the gap in the picture with the exposed wires)This pod is a dark gray, but the 2012 interior is slightly more black. Also, the pod is made for 2 tabs to connect on the backside. the 2012 only has one tab.I've heared Rugged will be making a new one for the 2012 model, but I couldn't wait. :-) For [$], I'll grab the new one when it comes out.It definitely does the job and was easy to cut out the holes for the matching rocker switches.
