The Rugged Ridge A-Pillar Switch Pod for Wranglers has pre-molded cutouts to allow you to mount up to four aftermarket switches in easy reach on the driver?s side A-pillar (switches not included). Mounting your switches up and out of the way from the shifter makes the switches easier to reach and use. Each A pillar pod is textured to match your factory interior for the ultimate look and is easy to install. Simply remove the original equipment A-pillar cover and replace with the Switch Pod. Nice fit.
Was very easy to install. The only hard part was cutting out the holes for the switches. I don't understand why they didn't do that when it was formed. That's my single nitpick. Other than that it went in just like it was supposed too.

A-pillar rocker switch review
It would have been nice to have the switch holes cut out especially since it came with switches and also a wiring diagram for the switches. Everything else was easy and it fit perfectly.

Rugged Ridge A-Pillar, Nice!
Really easy to use, compatable with most switches (I used Daystar and they looked great with the pod). Only drawback I saw was the pod was a lighter color then the black interior of my 2011 JKU, would mesh better with 2007-2010 JK Wranglers.

Not quite right for 2012s
If you have a 2012, you may want to wait for the updated version. If you're like me, and you have no patience, then this is what you can expect: - The color of the pod is a lighter gray. The interior of the 2012 is darker (almost black). - The pod doesn't exactly cover all the way down. you can still see some exposed wires in the pic. - There are two clips that are needed for the pod to connect to the pillar. The 2012 only has one clip, but it can still work. It works great, just not for the 2012. :-)

The Pod does the job, but it's not quite the right fit or color for the 2012 Jeep. (see the gap in the picture with the exposed wires)This pod is a dark gray, but the 2012 interior is slightly more black. Also, the pod is made for 2 tabs to connect on the backside. the 2012 only has one tab.I've heared Rugged will be making a new one for the 2012 model, but I couldn't wait. :-) For [$], I'll grab the new one when it comes out.It definitely does the job and was easy to cut out the holes for the matching rocker switches.

Q: your product spec contradicts itself, one says you have to purchase the toggle switch separate but then it states it comes with the four, so which is it does it come with it or not??? Answer this question
A: Hello Rosie, The Rugged Ridge A-Pillar Switch Pod and Rocker Switch RUG17235.86 comes with one rocker switch in each color (Orange, Red,Green and Blue). Thank you.
