Good Lift!

This is a great lift kit! I ended up with a bit more lift than the rated 3.5" Me and a buddy put it on in about 8 hrs. I would suggest that you buy an adjustable track bar so you don't have to drill a new hole, and a transfer case drop or SYE to eliminate driveline vibes.

Great lift kit!!

I bought this lift and installed it on my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon, I also put on 37" Tires. On the road this is slightly softer than the stock suspension it's mostly noticed starting and stopping, side roll isn't bad. Off road this gives you so much travel that you can tackle the toughest trail. Very happy with this lift. Took a full day to install. Note if you have a Rubicon the sway bar disconnects that come in this kit don't work, I used the original rear sway bar disconnects on the front with this lift and it worked perfect. The flex achieved with this lift is so much that a full width bumper is a bad idea as you can see in the pictures.

A Nice Solid Ride

I like the street ride better than stock, when you hit a bump it feels a little stiffer but strong and recovers fast with no bounce - the off-road feels like a beast. I had 4 Wheel Parts do the installation for a reasonable price and them taking care of everything (including calibrating the speedometer and shifting - (which I also like better than stock) and alignment) I'm sure saved me a lot of time and grief. Only disappointment is some would probably call my Jeep level now but to me it looks like it is squatting in the rear and i just personally despise a nose-high looking Jeep. I would take it down to 4 stars for this but I see they re-sealed my rear differential cover that was leaking at no charge and I suppose "leveling" (or the manufacturer's interpretation of it) was supposed to be part of the package so I'll leave it at 5 stars. However, I am going to have to add a minimum of 1" or likely the Rubicon Express 1.75" rear coil spacers to make me happy with the look and feel of the way it sets.

3.5 is a great lift kit and excellent ride

Easy to Install, and the ride is great, I would definitely recommend it, I will be buying the ajustable lower control arms next, buying through 4wheel drive parts was great.

Great Kit, But Perhaps A Bit Uncomplete

This kit was easy enough to install. As typical my rusty jeep was a royal pain to get the old parts off. The new kit fit well and looks fantastic. A small rake to the front puts your XJ in a perfect stance. I opted for Bilstein 5100's to top this off and it rides great! I'd only say that i think that this kit could be a little more complete by simply Including new leaf spring bolts & Control Arm Bolts. I'd also like to see a pair of Axel Shims included. All of these pieces would make this kit just that much better. The addition of these pieces would be cheap and not require to run around locating them. Installed this kit with a transfercase drop and 2 degree shims and i've not no driveline vibes. Runs and rides great!

Complete but more lift than desired

Lifted my 92 XJ 4.0 HO.3 1/2” Kit was complete and easy - 1 person, 9 hours no rush. Ended up with 5” of lift (22” measured from hun center to bottom of fender flare, 17” is stock height) and that caused problems with rear drive line. I addressed yoke contact by relieving yoke metal with a carbide grinder and added a 1” tcase drip from RE. It’s ok for now but I will need a SYE and new driveline before actual off-road use. Front brake lines are at limit and I will need addition extension. I also needed to add an adjustable track bar because of the overlift. RE says it will settle to spec within 500 miles. 150 miles in and no settle yet. I am going to run 31s so the extra lift just causes issues. Last issue was not RE kit related. I hung a new rear xRC bumper before the lift. The added frame supports closed off the space required to remove the rear spring shackle bolts. Ended up sawzalling them off and replaced with new bolts with heads facing out instead of nut facing out. From a DYI perspective, this is a good kit. Instructions are not perfect but very good for sequence. Ride is much stiffer after the lift but not over stiff. Rig prefers a full tank and extra tools in the back to smooth the ride. This cost me much more than budgeted die to new track bar, SYE and new drive shaft, and extended front brake lines. Luckily, I had cash to complete the lift and was not stranded without my daily driver.

Helped get a better ride offroad without losing st

Bought the kit for my 2 dr. Jk. Only problem I had was springs sagging in the back. Turned out I needed the springs that go on the 4 dr. because the weight of my jk wasn't considered. The rest f the kits parts are the same. Now I'm a happy camper.

good base lift

lift was easy to install and came with everything I needed. Needed shocks and got this on sale for $100 over shocks alone. Rides stiff at slower speeds but has a great ride on the highway

Great Lift Kit

This kit is great! The instructions are a little lacking, so it was helpful to have a gear head helping me with the install. Took about 7 hours to install in a shop with a full lift. Must get the Rubicon Express Exhaust Spacer Kit so the Drive Shaft doesn't hit the exhaust. Also, to prevent having to replace the drive shaft, the Teraflex High Angle Rzeppa CV Kit works Great! Looks great with 35" tires. Needs a full alignment after install. Provides really good flex.

Awesome Lift Kit

I had 4WP San Jose install this on my new 2012 JKU Rubicon when it still had 100 miles on it, so I don't remember life before this kit. Anyway, the Jeep has seen Slickrock Trail in Alpine County, Hollister, The Rubicon Trail, Oceano Dunes, and a lot of highway in between (its my daily driver). I am truly impressed with the amount of flex this kit provides. I bought this kit becasue I just didn't have long-arm kit money. I do like the fact there is actually an upgrade kit available for the day I choose to make that jump. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is becasue that rating will likely be reserved for the long arm kit.

Good buy.

This product is very good an very durable, but was disappointed because the rear shocks did not come with the upper mounting pins and the U bolts were the wrong size, had to go buy another set for each side at the parts house.

Good lift kit

Good instructions, good price. Plan to buy the slip yoke eliminator and CV style drive shaft to prevent vibration. I still have a bit of vibration so if I was to do it again I would upgrade and get the adjustable upper control arms.

stiff stiff stiff

this lift is okay for looks, 4.5in is more like 5in, looks really great with 33's.... the ride on the other hand is extremely stiff, I recommend different shocks it will ride much nicer, the fact that it dose not include a transfer case drop is non satisfactory, I had to purchase many other items just to make it drivable, but you have to pay to play.. overall I am very happy with this lift

Smooth compared to friends RC lift

This lift is one of the best out their for the price flexes well when swaybar is disconnected, cough cough I believe 4 wheel parts know owns RE, but thats alright with me qaulity is still great I just need a long arm now. Tc drop and or Sye/H-n-tap may be required. I recommend Acos or a 1 in coil spacer up front for most installs due to leaf pack netting 5in versus 4.25 on the front coils. This is not just in my case but this occures for most Xj's.
