Mike & Seth in Charlotte, NC 2” Lift Kit…

Thanks to Seth and Mike for assisting me with 2” Lift for my 98’ TJ! They’re both extremely knowledgeable, patient and friendly. Both were able to answer all of my questions. 4WheelParts Charlotte will not let you down!

Great kit for the money

Great kit for the money install is pretty easy and it looks great afterwards! The only problem I had was the 2 page instructions, and disconnection of the track bar was not necessary and didn't say anything about removing the straps for the rear abs sensors

low cost doesnt have to be cheap

I agree with a previous review that you'll be glad to have spring compressors unless you're dropping the whole suspension out anyway. You'll need to be comfortable with working on your jeep because the instructions are pretty vague. Know how to pull your springs because they don't cover it - although other brands of the same type of lift do have more detail and I used their PDF files from the 4wheelparts site! My 2 main concerns in buying this lift were having to spend a lot of money immediately upgrading tire size and losing my ride quality. First, my stock 235/75 R15 tires look fine. Yes, there is now plenty of room in the wheel wells to go bigger and I will when I need tires, but it doesn't look silly with the stock streets and I don't have to throw away perfectly good tires. Second, the reason I bought this jeep was because all my other cars have been street racers with lowered firmed up suspensions and this ZJ was the most comfortable and smooth ride I've ever had. I chose this lift so I would retain the use of the stock springs which have much to do with your ride quality. The included shocks are definitely more firm than the ones I took out, but not uncomfortably so. They're a good quality upgrade from stock and it's still my nice smooth ride. I had read in a few online forums that when you do a lift, you can get the 'death wobble' and will have to rush out and get an alignment to eliminate a whole host of problems you just created by altering your suspension geometry. I had none of that with this kit. I've had it at freeway cruising speeds (and often passing speeds), I've shown it hills, streams, rocks, and mud all with no problem and all within 24 hours of install with no further work done. I had kicked around the idea getting this lift for a long while and it seemed there wasn't a lot of info for the consumer. Now I'm so glad I've done it I'm writing this review because this is what I wanted to know before I bought.

good product but......

If you serious about doing a 2" lift...rather use Pro-Comp coil-springs (extended with 2") than just a rubber spacers. Same ride but way better trail riding. To keep your budget reasonable, you can still use the Rubicon Express shocks. They are great.

Solid Lift

Got this lift and a 1" body lift to fit some 33's. It does exactly as it states. Lifted my tj two inches for much better looks and capability. Definitely recommend to anybody looking for an affordable 2 inches.

My BB Lift

Overall the product is very nice. The RE instructions could be a little better. If you are a DIY person and do not have a lift, get some spring compressors. It states they are optional, but we used them and I can not see how it could be done without them. One negative was the fact you may or may not be able to use your rear coil isolator. We could not reuse mine as it was the wrong style...although it was OEM. We called RE and they stated some people have different ones. We were able to use the front isolators and did so. This was actually a good thing as the front and rear are now level. Make sure for a week or so before you soak everything in liquid wrench or something similar. We were lucky and the only thing that broke was a rear sway bar link.

Good Value

If you need a little extra lift and are on a budget, this is a good way to go. Not as easy to install as advertised, but still not hard for anyone who does their own work often. You NEED a spring compressor, unlike the directions say. Ride quality is OK, shocks work well. So far everything has held up well on the trails. This spacer kit gave me enough clearance for 31"s and ample flex with the sway bar disconnected.

Nice inexpensive kit

Great product...however, I had to trim the lip off the back risers to make them fit.

Product works well

Product works fine. Instructions little vague. Product was lost in through mail. But missing parts were quickly sent out.

Good, needs front sway links.

Adds a little extra for the trails when you are air downed. ***move rear sway links to front, get new rears*** Bad angle on stock front, broke front sway last night on some uphill bumps.

You get what you pay for!

Instructions could be better, Video of an install would be nice. This kit only comes with one set of bump stop extensions, if you up grade to the kit with mono tube shocks you get two sets. I also need eccentric cam bolts to do alignment. would have been nice to know what all I needed before I got into the project.
