Easy to install, just hand tools, jack stands, and jack. Took me just under 3 hours. Great ride and same gas milege.
Gives you a lift without going crazy and the jeep has a nicer stance. Ride is the same or better than stock depending on what you are doing. I should have done this sooner than I did.
I'm doing a full restoration on my jeep CJ3A. The U bolts were a little small and this made the install difficult. Went with newer axles which were slightly larger, so not the manufacturers fault. I was able to get it all together and it was worth the hassle, cause it looks GREAT! Not sure yet how it will ride, but so far I'm quite satisfied. Thanks.
This product is 90% road use. I first bought the 3.5 in suspension lift with the RS5000. DO NO combine this Suspension with the lower end shocks! I had to add a caster and put the MT7000 to the suspension lift and now it rides great!! It looks great!!! They are amazing
I only used the 4 inch because I put my truck to work. It is a diesel and I haul a 35 foot toy hauler, 25 ft boat, 30 foot car carrier and work trailers. I am extremely happy with the tire clearance and the performance I get out of the truck when off roading. On the highway it runns like a cadillac very smooth unless I got my mud terrain tires on there. I have two sets of wheels and tires that I use depending on what I am doing.
Looks good and rides good. 33 inch tires. 4 Wheel Parts never called me to install the kit. Had local mechanic install.
Great suspension. Easy install Truck looks great
Love the look and the ride! They really make a quality product.
The kit is very complete (except for shocks) including extended brake lines, adjustable front track bar and rear track bar bracket. All components are heavy duty with grade 8 or better anodized hardware. The instructions are very good with pictures where needed and all hardware bags are labeled. Removing the existing components was harder than the installation since I live in the rust belt. The ride is good when combined with my new RS9000 shocks, no bump steer or other issues.
Nice lift kit for the price, installed mainly for looks.
I went from a Rubicon Express 2.5 in to this lift which included replacing the springs and brake lines. I coupled this with Rancho Monotubes and went for the full 5 inch max to give more ground clearance. The ride is totally different, there is a significant decrease in body roll and the springs are very tight- which evened out the ride height in the front. Overall this has added much better on-road performance, with a much stiffer ride off road.
This is a great lift and once its done it is well worth the hassle of self-install. The instructions say "estimated installation time is 4 hours"...Yah Right!! Maybe in a shop with a hydraulic lift and 4 mechanics working non-stop. In reality I did by myself over the course of 3 days, with help it probably would have taken 1-2 days. Great quality parts, the 9000XL shocks are awesome (but unless you want to corner like mush set the dials to at least 5 or 6). Overall I would recommend this kit, and would recommend installing it with a few friends and the right tools, or just paying to have it installed.
Install: Installed in one weekend by self, parts are top quality- made by the same OEM supplier for Ford (Tenneco), getting pitmann arm off a 350 needs the biggest puller you can find & a big hammer, instructions were clear & well illustrated, need 2 big floor jacks- pneumatic jacks help, you need a torque wrench that goes to 450+ ft/lbs for track bar, 360 ft/lbs for pittman arm- don't try to do it with just an impact- won't work, you need a big impact and big sockets to do the job, 30mm to 40+mm. After install: limited suspension travel- still bottoms out too easily, shock rebound seems fast- "bouncy" with the RS9000XL series shocks, shock adjustment is easy and each step feels different, front axle shifted 1.5" towards passenger side after install- not sure why, carrier bearing spacer supplied in kit put shaft out of line- took it out, vibration went away, like the lift height but level trucks don't look good with a load so I'll add more to rear end soon. Everyone wants to know what lift I put on the truck so it must be working.
purchased instead of body lift and glad i did. much more functional, and adds just the right amount of height
this suspension lift is exactly what i was looking for. Great for sand dunes, creek, mud, anywhere and everywhere you would want to go without sacrificing the benefits of a stock suspension.
