Reviews: Rampage Rear Sport Racks

This was an easy installation that took under 15 minutes on my 2014 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited. It added much needed extra storage space.

Works great, I'm very happy with this cargo rack. The installation was easy and it fit nicely. The construction quality is pretty decent for the price. I can't really complain about anything and I'd buy it again.

Nothing fancy, but works great for my needs. Covers most of the rear cargo area, slowing down any would-be thieves (not 100% secure, but close enough for me), and increases storage space back there. Great for throwing a cooler on top and still having storage underneath. Also folds up out of the way when needed. If I could make one improvement (which I will), it would be to weld all the way around the platform instead of just spot-welding, to eliminate the rattling noise that can occur.

Doubles your space in the rear for groceries and the like. Best part about it is that you can put heavy stuff on the floor-tools, straps, etc...and put sleeping bags, groceries, tents on the rack. The rack also has a strut which holds it in the upward position for times when you need to put something tall in the back. This thing is heavy duty all steel construction, which means it is heavy; i kindof wished the tray was plastic and a little lighter. I think the shipping weight was about 50 pounds. The bottom of the tray is level with the bottom of the back window, so you wont even see the tray unless you unzip the back window. Not sure if this would work with the duster cover, doubt it. When I put the top down most of it rests on the back of the tray. This bolts into the floor where the rear seat belts are and then clamps to the roll bar near the back door. I love the extra space this gives me. Thinking about adding sheet metal to the sides of the frame to make a lockable trunk enclosure.

Installation was fairly easy. Makes additional use of storage space. Tack weld from factory broke first time it was used.
