Awesome tires

We put these on a brand new JKU with no lift (wheels with 4.5BS) and they look fantastic. The were shipped mounted and balanced and they are perfectly balanced. Kudos to 4wd.com for their install. They are quieter than I expected for the size and lug depth but you still know they are there. I was also surprised at how well they grip on wet pavement also. If they hold up to mileage I'll consider them well bought.

So far a great tire. Have only had them for a month but I prefer these to the Nittos. Less road noise and better traction in the Powerstroke.

Great looking tires

The tires look Great and the ride is terrific. They don’t produce much road noise at all. I’ve gotten a ton of compliments already and they have only been on my truck for about four days.

Mickey Thompsons For The Win!

Very aggressive tread for an All Terrain based tire. Tread depth is quite deep vs. most other AT tires. Good sidewall protection and a good overall look. Mickey Thompson always puts performance above all else so I know these will be a great tire and from all the reviews I've seen they will last well over the 45k mileage warranty. These tires have many deep sipes to help w/ cold & wet weather.

Surprised

I went in for KO2s or Nittos. I saw these and asked the rep, what’s up with these? He explained how for an AT they are very close to the MT but have better road manners. He was right. These are the best tires I’ve ever owned. Tried to research them but didn’t see a ton of reviews like the aforementioned KO2s or TerraGrapplers. So I’m here to tell you take a chance, these are amazing. I live in north Florida so I can’t speak about snow driving. But clay, sand, rain they have performed so well on my 17 TRD Sport Taco.

This is the best semi aggressive off road style tire imo. Extremely durable and long lasting. I will never use any other brand for this truck or any future trucks either.

Excellent tires on and off road

Bought the 33x12.50x15 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZs for a 2000 Jeep Cherokee that I am building for my son. Great looking tires that perform excellent both on and off road. Will definitely be buying these for my other Jeeps.

On my 3rd Set

They look great and wear well. I drive a Ram 2500 diesel truck most of the other brands haven’t lasted near as well.

Mickey T Baja ATZ

This tire performs perfectly in moderate off road conditions. Not recommended for heavy mudding but in road performance is rame and predictable. Great traction in most conditions, including snow. The tire is somewhat stiff and requires severe reduction in psi for light trucks (2000 Ford Ranger tire pressure set at 18 PSIG), in order to provide a full contact patch.

Great durability for heavy truck off pavement

I installed these in 305/70R18 on a 2011 F-350 diesel which is loaded with tools. I drive around 3-4000km of highway and at least 1000km of terrible gravel/mud roads per month. I air down to ~30psi when off pavement for a long time. These tires have been a great all-terrain for my needs. My first set of BFG all terrains on this truck were chunked and shredded to an unusable state in 30,000km. I ran BFG mud terrains the next summer and they held up much better but still a lot of chunking and wear. I am on my second summer with these Mickeys and they are wearing GREAT! I have hardly any cuts or chunking in the tread at all, and that includes powersliding a 9500lb truck on large crushed gravel. My truck is tuned so I have plenty of torque to get these going and often find myself spinning the rears a bit too. My only complaints would be they feel quite floaty on the mud, but it is most likely just a width thing as I have never had tires this wide before. (My BFG mud terrains were narrow 33s at 255/80R17 and bit much better) Also the great tread wear must come at a price and the compound is TERRIBLE on the snow and ice. Mud terrains are obviously poor in these conditions but I hoped the all terrain would be decent... it isn't. I slide all over where my studded Nokians grip like crazy, so if you have real winter weather just run winter rubber! Overall I'm happy and would recommend these tires, but I heard the MTZ pattern is getting the P3 compound so I might try them next.

Surprisingly capable!

Purchased these in a 285/75R16 for my Xterra with a 4in lift. I've put 20k miles on them in the last 13 months. That has been largely on pavement as this is my daily driver in VA, so they have seen many miles of highway, rain and even 16in of snow on pavement. I've also attended/hosted about 25-30 trail rides/off-road events in that time where they've seen thick mud, rocks, sticks, sand, thick snow, ice and even temps in the teens. For on road use I keep them at 32-34psi (chalk test) and off road they are at 16psi. I rotate the tires every 3750 miles and the inner 3 rows of tread blocks have dropped from 18.5/32nds to 15/32nds, while the outside tread blocks have dropped to 12.5/32nds. They have held up very well in my opinion. I am pleased with the wear. In addition to that their performance for me off-road has been better than I could have imagined. In thick mud they clean out nicely. In big rocks they grip well and pull me over anything I can get them on. In thick snow they get traction and pull me through. On road has been pleasant as well. I have not hydroplaned once with these tires. They handled our snowy winter roads here and on trips up north (PA) with no issues. They aren't great on pure ice, but what tire without studs is. Only one place have I had to winch up where someone else got up with no issues (slick red mud on a hill) and they were running Super Swamper TSLs which have their own compromises. The sidewall durability is spectacular. While I've seen several friends lose a tire over the last year to a sidewall or tread puncture I have gone on the same trails and still have all 5 tires with no punctures anywhere. The treads have only lightly chunked at the corners of the tread blocks, which is spectacular considering the amount of rocks I've driven them over. The rubber compound really does appear to be both durable and high traction. My only complaint would be the sounds they make in turns which isn't super loud but is a light hum over a standard AT tire. Also I think I feel some sidewall flex in turns, which could be alleviated by a higher pressure but then my contact patch would be poor in this application giving me poor wear. Overall these small negatives pale in comparison to their performance in every way I've tested them both on and off-road and I've been very pleased with them.
