Reviews: MBRP XP Series Exhaust Systems

This exhaust system is a wonderful upgrade to the stock 3.5L V6 EcoBoost system. It gives a much more aggressive and meaty growl to the engine. The sound can be a bit loud in the cab but it's not unbearable in my opinion. Installation took me about 2.5-3 hours with a frame lift and an axle stand, but I would recommend an extra set of hands if possible to help with getting leverage on everything.

They say it fits my 2012 chevy Colorado lt 5.3 V8 but they don't make one for a 5.3 .

This system was easy to install with minimal effort. I did add an inch to where I was suppose to cut the front pipe for my size truck. Made it worry free knowing the pipe was long enough, I think it would have been close otherwise. Could use some more design work but fits ok. The hanger on the right side rear exit is not really in the right position, stretches rubber hanger. I also moved it to the inside hanger, directions say use outside, but it doesn't hang right. Brake lines on left side have to be pulled back with zip ties, no bracket in kit, I will fab something later. Also had to move spare around to clear pipe, could have been better designed to clear tire. Clamps in this kit are awesome but have to be tightened very tight or they slip. Exhaust has a loud drone in the cab at some highway speeds but overall, sounds awesome. I would have preferred it a little quieter.

I've always bought Flowmaster exhausts or had custom systems installed in the past but for my new truck I wanted to try something different. I watched a few YouTube videos comparing the MBRP Cool Duals and the Flowmaster Super 40 and decided to give MBRP a try. Well, I can say I am very happy with my decision. The exhaust has a nice rumble during idle and fairly screams when you hit the go pedal. Just a low rumble at highway speeds, you can barely hear them over the whine of the DC Crushers.

This is a great exhaust system i have it on my Jeep JKU the sounds is so much better with a nice deep and mello sound. It finally give the JK a real sound!

was easy to install. only thing is make sure you spot weld tip on because the clamp on tip even when tightend to almost breakin, it would still move a little, so i just tack welded it in a couple of places.

Sounds great and looks great, especially the tips. The fitment wasn't quite right so it took a little bending and rearranging of the included hanger to make it fit past the spare tire.

didn't come with stainless band clamps as advertised had to call manufacture and get them and this was second time with same problem!

I replaced the stock exhaust on my truck with this MBRP turbo back kit, sounds and looks great, really added to the tough look and performance of my truck.

So far so good... it’s has a little drone when you are in neutral throttle and almost quiet at full throttle. There is one issue, the design of the tail pipe section, it will rotate even with the clamp super tight.... you have to tug on it to make it move... so i tacted it in place Hopefully it lasts 3-5 years and doesn’t rot out as other guys (with different trucks) have had issues with
