Reviews: Goodyear LT245/75R16 Tire, Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar - 750151326

These came standard on my '05 Jeep Wrangler. I have always replaced these tires with the same type since the vehicle was new. These are the only tires that have never had a flat from off road travel(yes, like any tire they can pick up a nail or screw). I spend a lot of time traveling on extremely rough mining roads with lots of rocks, boulders, gravel washes, etc. and these are the only tires that have held up without a sidewall blowout. Plenty of traction in rough conditions. They are not great in rainy conditions on pavement and they do slip easily on ice but I just am more careful under those conditions. I get about 40k miles per set with a mix of highway and off road travel which is not bad for aggressive tread designs. Around here, many back country travelers carry 2 spare tires but I have told them to buy 1 set of these and there won't be any reason for 2 spares.

Purchased these tires when I bought the pickup. I use this vehicle as a daily driver to my office job. I also take them off road on my farm pulling and hauling things as needed. Great tire just lacks durability. I am an experienced driver and grew up working outside. I know the difference between abusing a product and one that just not well made. These tires were not abused.

Tires are like ice skates on ice, they were slick when I had 33" MTRs and the 37" MTRs I have now are even worse on ice under my solid axle swapped Tacoma than the 33" flavor I had back when I was IFS. I am pretty happy with how these perform in everything but winter driving to/from the trailhead.

Had the tires for a year now and they have been great until the last rotation, I have perfect alignment and had the tires balance by two tire companies and still get a bad vibration at 35mph and worse at 65mph, It look like the passenger front tire if you jack it up and spin it, looks egg shaped, they say shaving the tire would fix it, but no one does it anymore, so I have to be replaced it with 2/3 tread still on it. Frustrating.

Good tire for an aggressive look without the terrible ride associated with mud grips. Has good handling qualities with minimal road noise.

Love these tires. I have them on my 2007 jeep wrangler and use it as my daily driver and off road adventure rig. Offroad I have had them in every kind of situation and they have shined. I put a 2 long gouge in the tread from being stuck with some sort of foreign object tearing at the tire and they are still going strong. Balancing was a not fun but we got it down. Most of the problem wa self inflicted I tried using balancing beads and I am not sure i would use them again. I am about to pull the trigger on another set right now, just trying to decide 35 or 37"s. I put approximately 50k on these tires with a 50mi commute to work. They have gotten a but loud but I bent my tire rod and have worn them unevenly so I have myself to blame for that. I just wish they were slightly softer and had just a tad more sipping.

although I lost 2-3 miles a gallon I like the performance when they get loud..rotate. awesome traction in anything except thick mud...of course it could be because the diesel weighs 8,000lbs.

all in all the tires are up to expectation .the only problem is living in yhe province of Quebec are the roads are a killer for the product

great on all road and off roads with theses tirs you cant get it stuck

Fell in love with them the first day on the road, great traction nice feel on the road and not as noisy as I thought they would be.. Recommend them to all Super Duty owners ,You won't regret it !
