Awesome

was a great buy and a good price it was slapped in in no time flat... only drawback was that i had the Aluminium 44 (don't ask) from a grand Cherokee and the brakes did not fit... the 35 would have been fine but with the lame AL 44 so i had to buy a whole new disc conversion kit

Flawless

Locked and Loaded, these G2s have taken a beating and still stand up true and absolutely trustworthy. There's no competition for this price and the bang for buck is absolutely absurd. I have these axles in a 2000 TJ with stock 4.0L and some other mods. A short arm for now... but, not much else is needed after putting these bulletproof G2s under my rig. I did have to get new driveshafts and I went ahead and included an Atlas 2 to add to my rig's bulletproofness. I absolutely love the axles and couldn't have asked for a better product. I wouldn't change a thing, the chromolys are incredibly strong, I've put these to the test in some of the harshest trails in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and the slick rock/ canyons of Moab, Utah. I've taken these things where I didn't think my little TJ on a short arm could go. Don't question buying these axles, you will regret going with anything else. I'm on 35s now and soon to be on 37s, I have no worries that this product will outlast not only the Jeep but, maybe even myself.

G2 TJ Dana 44 4:56 with ARB

Great buy for the price. Included a Free ARB Compressor. The Diff arrived in 3 weeks by truck. Needed to shorten front driveshaft by 2.5 inches as the D44 pumpkin is longer than a D30. Great Upgrade with all the best parts included.

Worth every penny!!!

I bought this axle after finding out it'd cost me roughly $3000 to max out my HPD30's strength and it'd leave my '92 YJ's 2.5L stressing to turn 35x12.5 mud tires on 15x8 steel wheels.. The axle came bare (no suspension mounts) which made welding on suspension mounts SOA style very easy and it requires your Dana 30 knuckles which let me keep my M.O.R.E. stage 2 steering correction package (just had to weld a trackbar mount into the axle).

A lot for the money

You can beef up your old Dana 30, regear it, add a locker etc, but when you're all done you still have a rebuilt Dana 30. When you add up the cost and if you're like me you'll have to pay a qualified mech. to set up the gear lash (that's a little over my head) you will find that for just a few hundred dollars more you could get this brand new built up Dana 44 with your choice of lockers, gears and axles. I was able to install it myself and after breaking it in took it out for a little rock crawling. I love it! I have one in the rear of my TJ as well and I really like the confidence I have with these strong axle assemblies

Tj g2 Dana 44

I use this product for off road use and on road. Best deal I got from any other website. Looks awesome very easy to install and the only bad thing about this front end is the drive line needs to be cut down 1inch.

TJ Dana 44 Front Axle.

I used my jeep for everyday driving. Off road when I want the Dana 44 is one of the best things I have added to my jeep.

Dana 44

I was extremely happy with the quality and warranty of this unit. The sales staff was also very helpful. As stated the driveline did need to be shortened, but we were prepared for this. Everything else was a direct swap. [...]The only problem we had was the aftermarket aluminum cover interfered with the stock track bar. We had to modify the cover to cure this issue. If the vehicle had been lifted it would not have been a problem. Yes I would buy one again.

Excellant Value

We replaced both front and back axles on our 96 Grand Cherokee. Front was a direct bolt-in. Back we cut the tabs off and welded original tabs back on where needed.Much stronger now for rock crawling. Also very streetable w/ARB locker.Excellant value and would recommend to anybody looking to upgrade their axles.

G2 dana 44 axle

I have not had the chance to go out and realy us it like it should be used (don't worry we will) but so far it works very well. With the Elocker it works well on the street like your stock axle but lock it up and it pull.

buy this before upgrading your dana 30.

Price this out before upgrading the weak dayna 30 for the additional $$ you will end up with a much stronger assembly.

Strong Axle...after a upgrade

I ordered this axle to replace my Dana 30. Once installed I took it to Moab within a month. First trail of the day, hit a hard obstacle (with finesse and not throttle) and sheared the passenger side lower link halfway off the axle. Took to the local 4x4 shop in Moab and they replaced both sides with 3/8" plate steel and box welded them in. Since then this axle has been awesome with no issues. Ordered mine with the E-locker and it works great!

Held up great on the Rubicon!!!

G2 makes a great product that is reasonably priced. Their customer service is also top notch as they are available to answer any questions. The axle held up great on the Rubicon Trail. Although, the aluminum cover is already damaged after only one trip, this is surely expected on the Rubicon. The only negative comment would be that NO directions are included. However, G2 is working on that.

Well worth the money

I have both a front and rear 44 axle from G2 in my 98 TJ. They were an amazing buy for the price and the quality is good as well. They installed without a problem. Just the fact that the only thing you need to add to it is gear oil makes the install that much easier. It took me about 4-5 hours to do both and then recorrect my alignment. I highly recommend these to anyone that has the cash readily available and needs to replace a worn out axle or is looking for an upgrade.
