Reviews: Body Armor 4x4 Trail Doors

Great fit! No rattling thanks to the adjustable pressure pads.

We purchased these as we have younger kids and wanted something there when riding around town with the doors off. They look great, feel much stronger than I expected and gave us piece of mind. Can't really beat the price either for tube doors. Assembly was easy, expect to spend some time tweaking the fit/bolts to get them lined up correctly to latch. They do take a bit of a push to close/flip the latch to open but that seems actually ok considering the reason we bought them in the first place.

The driver side door fits like a glove in the door seal but the passenger side overlaps toward the rear of the door space. It has resulted in chipping the pain in the door seal. This has been a common reported problem among other Jeepers who have purchased them also.

These doors mount very easily on an '08 JK Unlimited Sahara. The latches and hinges align with 0 fuss, and assembly is a breeze. Lesse than 30 minutes to install 4 doors after removal of factory doors, which takes about the same amount of time. HOWEVER - The screw holes that are drilled for the limiting straps (the straps that prevent the door from opening too far) are all stripped out with the exception of 2 (one on two different doors). I will absolutely be forced to either re-drill and tap the holes and use *proper* screws instead of the machine screws supplied, or helicoil them to something appropriate. The assembly here is not appropriate for the use, these should be machine threaded to 14" x 20 or similar. Very, very, poor design on a critical part.

These are great doors. I wish they had used the factory hardware, which is better, instead of nuts.

The only complaint I have about these doors is that they used white padding on the black tubing, which makes it look incredibly cheap. Other than that, these are great doors that are well worth the price and work very well.
