So Far, So Good

Well, I am completely surprised to read the negative comments regarding the BF Goodrich Advantage T/A Sport tires. I do not have any of the issues noted, in fact just the opposite, at least so far. I purchased 4 of them at the end of July 2017 and it's mid August now with no problems. I road with them from center VA on I 95 to the end of SC about 400 miles, and I noticed a very quite ride and excellent handling, stop, braking, comfort and overall performance. After about 6 months from now I'll right another review and we'll see how these tires really perform.

Goodrich has created an excellent tire

These tires replaced stock Continentals(26K miles) on a 2013 Subaru Outback. Most noticeable was the handling and the quietness of the tires. The feedback while driving over rough roads (Buffalo, NY) was improved over the Conti's, most noted by the quietness and traction. I'm looking forward to other driving conditions - rain and snow which we get more than our share.

I would buy them again

I put a set of these on my 2012 Fusion SE and I really like them. They have great traction and a very smoothe ride. I see a lot of reviews with people complaining about them being "noisy" and rough riding...but I can't tell much, if any, difference in these and the set of Michelins I had on it before. I can't say anything yet about treadwear, as I have only had these tires on the car for about a month, but I haven't experienced any of the negatives that a lot of other reviewers post.

Best tires ever!!!!

I purchased a set of 4 advantage t/a sport tires for my 2015 Mazda 3 about a month ago. I live in Connecticut and since having them I have seen dry days, heavy rains and heavy snow. These tires have handled it all remarkably well. The traction they provide is amazing. I can corner much quicker and more precisely than I ever have. They are precise, quiet riding and get remarkable grip. I would highly recommend these tires to anyone looking to improve the handling of their car.

Everything you should expect from a tire.

I bought these Advantage Sports to replace a worn out pair of Bridgestones on my Honda. These ride much quieter and smoother than those did. Granted, those were worn down but I don't remember them ever riding as quiet and smooth as these BFGoodrich tires do. I have slammed on my brakes on many occasions with them and these tires give me the confidence to do so. My fuel economy hasn't gone down at all like another review stated, it's actually gone up 1-2 mpg. I have no complaints with these, highly recommended.

Performance tire for the masses

Incredible tire for the tough demands from the vehicles of today as well as our busy and hectic schedules we lead. You will quickly fall in love with this tire and wonder where it has been all your life......

Over all good

Overall good handling but the gas mileage is reduced from the factory tires and there seems to be more vibration than other tires aswell.

Nice ride

Fairly decent tire for the money. Quiet when highway driving with a comfortable ride. Didn't do as well as expected in the snow, but had okay performance.

Improved in all areas

have been in the tire sales Industry for 17 years. I am a goodyear guy throught and through. I also only buy sell and drive old Police vehicles. So my 2014 Tahoe PPV which takes a odd 265/60r17 V rated tire is hard to find stuff. the Eaqgle RS-A's are the police Standard besides the Firehawk Pursuit which are both WAY OVERPRICED. the good year from 10 years working at goodyear are laking in life and wet grab. the other tires were the Newer General Justice, not a general fan from my experience and time spent in the industry. Then the pathetic Nexen, not even on a ememies car. I am More than amazed and Surprised how much Quieter these Advantage T/A Sports are. Wet traction is definably better as well. My only Gripe would be the New Tread Depth. When I first sold some years ago I thought they looked like Snow Tires, but always heard good reviews.

Slips in ice

I have less than 1000 miles on the tires. They are great on road and in rain but don’t get traction on ice very well. They handle fine in snow but take a little effort to get traction on Icy roads.

Very pleased

We sell these like hot cakes at the shop that I work at. I have had these on three different vehicles so far. My girlfriends 04 mustang and her 15 Buick Encore after replacing the mustang and my mothers 13 Ford edge. They both drive at least 20k+ a year because of work and/or vacations so I wanted a tire that can handle a wide variety of conditions. On both cars they show very even wear granted I rotate the tires every 3,000 miles at every oil change. They balance easily and ride smooth. I am very pleased with the tires capabilities in snow, as we just got through the polar vortex here in the midwest. The buick was able to dig its way through where a customers car with Uniroyal tires that we put on back in October got stuck. Both vehicles are FWD. Sure they spun and slid some but I never felt like I wasn't in control of the situation. I am giving these tires a 4 because there is always room for improvement. I have noticed the rubber compound gets a little harder after the first year or so of owning them, but not to the point where they feel unsafe in any condition. By far one of my favorite tires for a passenger car.

Jack of all trades, master of none

2018 CX5 AWD owner - FL driver, and weather. These tires made my short list because they are 3 peak snow flake rated and have pretty good ratings. This mattered to me because I'm approaching a time when we'll be road-tripping to colder states and will inevitably encounter the wintry stuff. Best word to describe these: compromise. They don’t seem particularly excellent at anything, just a great jack of all trades which has an upper hand in wintry conditions vs A/S tires. These will do 95% as good a job tires like the Premier LTX or similar – yet are far superior in winter, less $$, and from reviews it seems they actually go the distance with their rated mileage. I've always had Michelins in my vehicles and they always wear out at about half their warranty rating. I hope the following will give you a feeling of what these feel like in my GT: Handling: less of a knife, more like a spatula. With that said, they aren't fully broken in yet. Wet traction: So far so good except one red light I spun tires a little, but it might just be the release agent because they are new. Drove over deep puddles at speed, yet I couldn’t break them lose.. they just bit the road. Dry traction: It’s an SUV not a race car. They do just fine. Comfort: they are on the softer side it appears – maybe a little bouncy. However you can feel every grit on that pavement. It’s as if they don’t isolate the texture from the driver, instead they transmit it straight to the steering wheel + seats. Not sure if this is a plus or a minus, but in my case, I'm not loving that too much. Yet don’t confuse this with noise. Feeling is different from hearing. NOISE... oh the noise many complain about. This was the category in the reviews which made me hesitate at getting these, but in the end I guess I took the dive. I will divide this part into subjective as well as objective: Subjectively (personally) I do feel they are a little louder, but not much - maybe 1 or 2 decibels. The added road feel I think plays a trick with your brain to make you think they are louder than they are (combining the actual noise with the gritty feel on some concrete roads). Objectively (with a decibel app on my Samsung Note 10) – shocking enough - they aren’t louder. I tested on my car, on a stretch of road at 50 and 60 mph. accessories off, windows closed, stereo off. 50mph = 70 decibels. 60mph = 72-74 db. 70mph: 74-76 db. Here’s the interesting thing: I immediately went and test drove a BRAND NEW 2021 CX5 GT with stock Toyo A36s which are the original tires for this car– and I got the EXACT same #s / db ranges. . New OEM tires seem to be just as loud (or quiet however you want to interpret) as these. IF there is a difference, I’d argue it’s subjective and does not exceed 1-2db. However the stock tires do seem to isolate the road feel better, which might explain why they might come across as quieter. One thing these tires DO have is a little humming noise. It’s there, it’s present, yet not intrusive. If you roll down your windows, you can hear it outside bouncing off the curbs and walls and such. This car does a decent job at hiding it with the windows up but it's still there. Overall, for the promise of added traction in winter conditions, I think it's a solid tire. I don't think anything else out there really combines these features with the promised mileage these have. Oh and looks wise... smoking! I hope this helps!

Almost the perfect tire.

I purchased these tires about 3 years ago in 2017, and so far have driven a total of 33k miles. Mileage, they're looking REALLY GOOD. However, they are smooth, and very athletic on the road, they compliment my car quite nicely apart from one thing, road noise. Road noise is what kills it. Now, my car isn't by ANY means a freaking limo or luxury sedan. It's a teeny hatchback. A Mazda. But I work in the field and have driven Mazdas that managed some cabin isolation. These things man....my ears pop and pop and pop they just road like a mud tire. But, as far behavior. Single handedly the most Taut and Controlled tire I've ever driven on.

Very good but not quite perfect

I drive a 2008 Dodge Dakota 4X4 and have about 2000 miles on the tires. There's only one reason I didn't give 5 stars. The space between the tread blocks is the perfect size for picking up good sized rocks. When the rocks fly out they manage to chip paint or sail into cars behind me. I'm going to have to get mud flaps/splash guards and I hate those things. Outside of the rock problem, the tires are excellent. They're quiet, improved the handling on my truck, and have great traction in any kind of weather. I don't need to use 4WD nearly as much as I've had to in the past which is saying something for a pickup. If you can deal with the rock issue, these are great tires and you'll like them. Best overall tire I've had on my truck.
