Reviews: Warrior License Plate Brackets

I needed a front license plate because of state law. The Warrior Hawse mount works perfect. It's very easy to install; easy to don/doff the license plate. And it's very, very well made ? solid construction with heavy, powder coated materials. The only issue, I did have to mount the bracket up-side-down on the Warn Elite Series front bumper with Warn Zeon 8000S. But it still functions properly.

Very heavy duty and won't bend/break when I step on it. It would have been nice to have a letter better led lighting (wider row of leds), but it keeps me legal.

Excellent Solution to mounting the rear license plate so it doesn't get picked off.

I ended up ordering this as a replacement to the standard plastic mount that came with my Jeep. The original mount shattered into pieces when my garbage can jumped out in front of me as I was backing out of the driveway. Love the way it looks, matches some of the other small upgrades I've installed (gas cover, light protectors) and it's strong enough to stand up against any more sneaky trash cans. The only downer was it took a smidge longer to install than expected because you have to drill into the body to get it attached and one of the bolts is inconvenient to reach behind the wheel well. Super happy with the way it looks! Would definitely recommend!

Designed for hawse, means it is intended to be used with synthetic line. Which means in order to install it, you will need to remove your winch line, install the product, and reinstall, and retention, your winch line. If the bottom half of the plate had a ½" slot in it removal would not be required. Just a thought? I did not cut mine, I just reinstalled my winch line. Looks and works great.

Awesome product, took maybe 15 minutes to install. Bolts up great to stock mounting holes.

Good product. Minor modification might be necessary on a thick hawse fair lead like Warn produces. Had to grind about 1/4 inch off the holding screws so that they would not contact the hawse fair lead. Great product if you need a license plate on your front mounted winch!

Decent mount. Holes for securing plate post to base post are a little wide allowing the plate to shimmy a bit and generally not sit level. Bit of an annoyance, but not a deal breaker. I'm sure I can modify it to get rid of it, but still love the mount. Will be great to mount the backup camera to.

I converted two Jeep JK's in an afternoon. I can go through car washes again. Here are some tips to ease installation. (1) Be sure to buy a delete plug for the old holes. (2) The side nuts are difficult to access due to the Jeep's double wall sheet metal. Install the washer, then an over-sized nut as a spacer, then a regular 5/16" nut, tighten, then install the supplied lock nut. (3) Lightly tap the far right edge of the installed license plate with a rubber mallet to form around the edge of the bracket. The license plate sticks out about 1/8" and may catch on something. I placed a small bead of construction adhesive about 1" from the far right edge - under the license plate. (4) Reinstall two factory screws in the unused screw holes just above the bumper. This is a very good product.

I really like the Warrior Product hawse license plate mount, its a clean design, easy to install and not at all flimsy, made very strong. When on the trail, you can simply just unscrew the two top plate retainer bolts and start winching. Too easy! Very recommended for those with a hawse fairlead and synthetic rope.

Works like it should. Don't tighten the nuts too hard when mounting your license plate or the screws will poke through the acorn nuts they give you.
