Works as advertised!

Much easier to use than the wired controller and it won't get caught in the line.

Totally Awesome!!

Live out in the sticks in North FLorida, and I'm forever sticking the tractor or skidsteer working around the property. While the tractor can be a pain to winch out at times, it pales in comparison to the skidsteer. Being hydrostatic, that one locks up without someone on the seat pushing levers while trying to move it. Have had the rear wheels on my Ford 4-6 inches off the ground, several times, trying to move that one without an operator. Otherwise when going solo it's hook chain to the crossbar on the lift arms, and run it under the bucket so I can pull myself with the bucket too. That gives me 1 - 2 feet of movement each time rather than 2 - 6 inches. Still it was tighten cable up, get on machine, curl bucket under while moving forward, gain a foot, get off and go tighten cable, go back to machine, move forward curling bucket under, back off the machine, go tighten cable up... Get's to be a long process when you're 15 - 20 feet out in a mud hole, to say the least. Wife comes out and tries to help, and I do love her for that, but when she's got the control cable on my winch stretched tight, trying to hold the front end of the truck, because "it's sliding", you know you are in trouble! Stuck the skidsteer a day or two after receiving my remote winch control, quickly read through the owners manual, plugged it in to check operation, and went to retrieve my machine. Couldn't have asked for anything sweeter!!! Unit was Plug and Play on my Warn 9,000 lb winch. Hooked the keychain with carabiner to the keypad, clipped it on the cage on my skidsteer so wouldn't lose the remote, keychain was the perfect length on my machine to run the winch and ease forward on the machine. Walked it right out of the hole, without the slightest hitch!!! (Directions show securing the receiver with the keychain, but I'm thinking whichever unit is in the mudhole, is the one you want secured with the keychain. If both the receiver and remote keypad are in the mudhole, find another keychain, and secure both.) Would definitely recommend this product to any winch owner! If you don't own a Warn, it appears this unit may work on your winch with simple installation of a jumper wire, contact Warn before giving up hope.

much better than remote provided

the wireless remote is much better quality than the corded remote that comes with the winch.
