Reviews: Warn Receiver Shackle Bracket

Gets the job done! Looks nice!!

I have had my recovery shackle for many years. I have pulled tree stumps with it, towed other cars and trucks, and even towed a freight liner cargo truck with it. I suspect anyone would break their truck before they break this shackle. But I want to comment about the loose fit. In another comment someone is concerned about the loose fit. I consider this a plus. After a day of deep mud off-roading, or a winter of Michigan's salted roads, I never have any trouble getting my shackle out of the receiver. I wish I could say the same about my tow ball!

I installed this on a 2009 Rancher 420 AT w/ Power Steering which has IRS. I also have a Tiger Tail installed which had the 1 1/4" receiver built in to the mount for it so I figured this would be perfect to have this in there. It is a little long in normal ATVs with a solid axle since their receivers normally stick out a little further than normal. That being said in my quad with IRS it is the perfect length and is right in line with the back of the tires and doesn't stick out at all. I just ran a recovery strap through the included shackle and wrapped the strap around my back rack to speed up the process if someone gets stuck. Works perfect!

Actually I bought this receiver shackle bracket by warn just to add accessories on my 1999 toyota tacoma truck hitch & my TOY looks great, maybe in the future that I need to haul or pull something, I will test the strength & power of the product, but for now I enjoy rolling my truck as well as the beauty of the WARN on it.

This product is made from good steel in the old US of A. Need I say more? It works great with a tow strap. With our extra long winter this year, it has seen alot of use. Thank You!

Put this on my Polaris 800 EFI to pull fire wood to the camp. Works perfect as it fits correctly (you will notice it does stick out a bit) and is of high quality. Looking forward to hooking up to a Moose or two during hunting season. Only slight negative is the spring clip for the hitch pin, not quite the style that I like, however cheap and easy to change out if I ever get around to it. So far it has not fallen off so may be okay.

Would have been nice if it fit tighter like a normal receiver, but will still work to pull or be pulled when stuck. 2010f150

Great way to add a recovery point if you don't have factory tow hooks
