The compressor looks to be a good quality. I didn't use it on my car yet but I have inflated a bicycle and was so fast.
The only complaint, which everyone seems to have is the inline air pressure gauge will not be accurate while the pump is running. When you shut it down, it then reads right, since it is attached right at the end of the hose vs on the compressor like cheaper models. The unit is very easy to store in my jeep with the carry case, it fits perfectly behind my drivers seat. I have not tried to put it behind my rear seat yet. The hose is very flexable and the unit will fill a tire very quickly.
This is my second 300P; I bought one a while back for my TJ Rubicon and when we started using our 4Runner for camping, I got tired of swapping the pump between vehicles and got this one. I'm a hunter/hiker so I'm not running huge tires and doing hard-core off-roading, but I do air down on long rough jaunts and this reliably airs-up. And with most flat tires being "slow leaks" from nails and what-not, it makes a lot of sense to have a solid, reliable air pump on board. This has the capacity to air up the larger tires, and is very well built--unlike the typical plastic cheapies offered by chain auto stores. If you drive anywhere out of town, I'd have one in your car or truck. Oh--the case has enough room for your basic patching tools, plus a quart of stop-leak...so you can have everything you need in one handy package.
I purchased this compressor for our trip up to Oceano Dunes. Worked like a charm, I ended up airing up my two brothers truck tires in all 12 tires in about 30 minutes all. One of the trucks had 35 in tires and this compressor had no problem airing them. The compressor never shut down and gave an exact psi reading after verifying with another gauge. GREAT BUY.....
The weekend after purchasing the ViAir system, we headed up to find some snow on Mt. St. Helen's. We used it to air down our tires while we played and then to air them back up. It is a quick little machine. The only con I would say it has, is it gets really warm after use, so we had to let it sit in the back seet for a while before putting it back in the carrying case.
