Great kit for the money

Finished the install. Relatively easy if you have basic knowledge. Rides better than the stock suspension. Will be adding new track bars soon.

Self installed. Love the new shocks. Rides good.

Installed myself. Took about 6 hours. Make sure you get new sway bar links!

Great lift

This is a great lift for the price, rides very well on and off road, easy to install, I did not use the cam bolts for the front and added new fixed lower control arms instead, also went with a axle mounted track bar relocation bracket, did not use the one from the kit. Added adjusted front and rear adjustable track bars, longer sway bar links for the rear and quick disconnects sway bar links for the front, over all very impressed with this lift

Very easy lift to install

The directions I think were written by someone who doesn't know english; enough said. The actual install was fairly easy. We did it in about 4.5 hours with 3 hours on the front. The front bump stop extensions are impossible to tighten down after the prings are installed. The catch is you can't install the springs with the stops in place first. Also when you go to re attach the track bar start the jeep and turn the wheels left or right until the holes line up.

Great product

Relatively easy install considering I did it my myself in my carport. Gave me the perfect height for 35" tires. Only draw back. The front brake lines wouldn't extend down far enough to attach the extension bracket.

Can't beat it for the price!

Just got this lift on last weekend. Haven't had a chance to try it out on the trails, but for the look and ride quality alone you can't beat the price! Installation was relatively easy. Would probably get a 5 if I had already wheeled with it before writing this.

Great low cost lift

I helped a friend install this lift and he was very happy. A year later I installed the same lift on my jeep. I am completely satisfied and greatly improved the look. It rides a little stiffer than stock. It lifts much higher than 3 inches but with a aftermarket bumper and winch it will be closer to 3" I love the look and ride and the components are heavy duty. With basic tools it took about 12 hours to install with minimal mechanical experience. The instructions are very basic and could be much better but was still able to install it. If I had another jeep I would use this same kit.

Installed by 16 yr old Daughter & 15yr old son

Recommendation first. If considering this kit I would recommend moving to the one that is $140 more and getting the addition of the new lower control arms. The install was relatively easy. Use the updated instructions on this web page instead of the ones than come in the box. Make sure you have an 18mm open/box end wrench as manny tool sets don’t include this size (weird huh?). You will need an exhaust extension. Add this first so when you lower the axle to add springs the drive shaft is not sitting in exhaust crossover limiting travel. Rent a spring compressor to assist getting front springs in. Lower control arms require you to knock out alignment plate. One side it to rear and one to front on our Jeep so we set the kit plate and ground/drilled to get clearance set. Doable with 5/8” drill bit but a real pain (get kit with longer lower control arms). Kit DOES NOT include sway bar end links. Move rear to front and you will need to buy a new set of +3” rears ($35). Plan on a new alignment $90 after completion (4 WP can do it) and recenter steering). Rear was quick and took about an hour to complete. Note. Unhook parking brake cables in body above axle (2 seconds to do) to drop axle enough for new springs. The reattach (2 more seconds) after in. Bolt up sway bar end links before lower shocks will also save you some time due to access. Added 35x12.5x18 Ironman MT tires on proCompnwheels with 4.5” backspace. Ride is BETTER Than OEM. Stability is BETTER. I feel much better even though lifted letting my 16 year old venture off now. I have run it through the paces of hard stops. Hard turns. Turns at speed. Interstate speeds. And impressed with stability and ride. About to do sons Jeep with same kit adding lower control arms. I gave 4 stars because I feel instructions could be cleaned up and I believe it should include sway bar end links. Also should include torque specs so not having to internet search for them.

7 out of 10

Not easy to install and not complete. Be sure to order extended rear sway bar links, you will need install the stock rear sway bar links in the front. Also order wheel spacers if you are going to use stock wheels. You will need exhaust spacers for 2012 and newer models. Other than these minor issues the lift looks great and is fairly easy to install. Good Luck!

Trail Master 3" Suspension Lift

First off, this is a great lift for the money if you are doing casual off-roading. If you're looking to increase the height and ride on your daily driver, you can't go wrong. Installation took about 6 hours and the directions are a little shady. However, any weekend warrior mechanic should figure it out. The ride is smoother than I expected and the front and rear height is dead even. Looks great.
