Bolts on really easy. Is not in the way of anything

I bought this for my 02 TJ. Very sturdy and comes with all the bolts you need. I have a 4' Firestik Firefly with a heavy duty spring attached to it. I would recommend adding a ground strap that runs to a good ground on the body if you want a good SWR reading, as well as installing the little bolt and nut they provide you for the top of the bracket. If you dont, the drag from the antenna will bend the bracket backwards and bring the tail light with it. I didnt install the top bolt right away but once I saw that the bracket would bend backwards with the wind I drilled the hold and installed the bolt because I was worried that the bolts for the tail light would strip out and the whole thing would fall off. Ive caught my antenna in trees on the trail and with the top bolt installed, there is no movement from the bracket at all.

I had to wait almost a month for my package but when i did get it it took me 10 min to install most of which was scraping off some paint so i got a good ground. Easy install. I love this about jeeps alot of bolt on aftermarket parts.

Also works great for a reverse light . I put my CB antenna on the right and an extra reverse light on the left with these brackets

Using this product to mount cb antenna to be on the Rear Door of Jeep. Was exactly what I was looking for and fit was perfect. Do have to remember to scratch up the mounts to get good contact for ground.

LOOKED LIKE OVERKILL AT FIRST. BUT ONCE ON THE TRAIL YOU SEE WHY IT'S BUILT LIKE IT IS. EXCELLENT PRODUCT

good quality,design,and fit.Definitly needs the mount bolt above the light.I buffed off the paint around the bolt holes and under the antenna mount hole for a good ground.

This is a really nice product. Super easy to install. The only complaint I'd have is once installed I had to sand around the bolt holes and the antenna stud hole in order to get a good ground. I could have ran a ground wire instead, but shaving the paint around the bolt heads is cleaner looking. Check your SWRs on you radio it will make a huge difference on the proformance. Another thing is the antenna comes pretty close to the top of the jeep (3 inches from the wiper) I wouldnt try a really long whip type antenna or you might beat your top. The short 4 foot stick style antenna seems to work pretty well.

I wanted to add a CB radio as another form of communication when traveling and this mount was the perfect solution for mounting the antenna on my JK. I removed some of the powder coating where the mounting bolts attach so I could get a good ground and it worked great. I did not have any issues with the antenna or the mount rubbing on my stock Rubicon spare.

Pretty good setup; Jeep has conveniently located a spot on the Tailgate that has a rubber grommet for running the cable for the CB radio. Mounted between the spare tire, the Tereflex bracket takes advantage of this spot on the tailgate. With this setup there is no drilling required for making a clean install of the cable. The bracket places the antenna just to the passengers side from center of the rear window. With a 4' antenna you have about 2' extending above the roof of the JK.

Bought this over a year ago and it's been solid. Still getting 1.1, see with my firestick. The height with this installed is perfect to put the bottom of the tight wraps on a 3' level with the top of the vehicle.

As others have noted, this is a very nice piece of equipment. It is easily and quickly installed but the supplied screws are too short to support the movement of ,say, a 4 foot antenna. Prior to installing on a Jeep TJ, suggest you purchase 3 one and one half inch long screws and nuts to replace those that secure the taillights and a self-drilling screw about 2 inches in length for the hole you must drill, as the TJ has a sheet metal section behind the rear body panel which will not allow the needed access to apply a nut.
