Sweet Choice for Low CG

Definitely run the Bilstein 5100 shocks and purchase an adjustable trac bar to center the front axle in the frame! Kit allows a 35" tire or 37" with flat fenders.

Teraflex lift

Great base kit to expand on with more parts. I recommend getting a front adjustable track bar. All in all I love this kit.

No complaints. Good product.

16 jku sport. The kit came complete with everything that’s needed. Everything feels solid, good quality. You reuse the sway bar links rear -> front. New Rear links come with the kit. The springs are beef. Basically the kit is flawless for an average joe like me. Came with everything needed. Even came with brake relocation brackets. I didn’t use them they made the brake lines real intimate with the suspension. Install took 2 evenings. Using $200 in harbor freight tools it got done easy enough. I’m a complete noob, I’ve never changed my own oil before (dealership does it free don’t judge haha) or even changed my brakes. All I’ve done is engine and cabin air filters. So, no real experience. I’d say if you enjoy your jeep and can read at a 3rd grade level you should install yourself. Save money and annoy your friends and family talking about how you lifted your jeep yourself, 2 birds 1 stone :)

Solid Product in an Ocean of Choices

The number of choices available to lift your vehicle can be a bit overwhelming, but I found this lift to be a reasonable value, maybe a bit on the pricey side compared to a few other companies that include sway bar links and T-Case Lowering Kit. The installation was much more difficult than expected due to rusted/broken shock bolts on both front and rear. That's not TeraFlex's issue. I just wasn't prepared for the extra hours. The track bar bracket installation was not well documented in the instructions, but a call to TeraFlex customer service provided me with enough info. to complete the job. After the lift, I ended up with a slight amount of drive shaft vibration during acceleration so I'm into another project: either lower flex arms or T-Case Lowering Kit, but again that comes with the territory of any lift kit. It's early but I'm very happy with both on road and off road ride. TeraFlex instructions are lacking, but their customer service was responsive and helpful. No complaints.

TeraFlex 2.5 base lift with shocks.

Great kit does what it says it will. Installation manual is worthless.

Good kit, no sway bar links

The kit does what I wanted it to do, i.e. it helped me fit 33-inch tires on my '97 TJ with a minimal budget. In addition to this kit, I used 4 monotube gas shocks, a 1.25-inch body lift, a 1-inch motor mount lift, and a set of extended sway bar disconnects. My tires are 33x12.5R15, mounted on 15x8s wheels with 3.625" of backspacing. I have no driveline or tire-rub issues whatsoever, and the articulation is as good as I can expect at this price point. The whole thing, including tires and wheels, cost under $3K, self-installed. I am extremely pleased with the results, both on-road and off-road.

The 4WP website claims that the kit includes rear sway bar links, but this is not true, they are NOT INCLUDED.

If you're installing the kit yourself, note the instructions do not mention the following: 1) You may need to drop your gas tank in order to get your track bar off, unless you have a very short Torx T-55 bit to get the axle-side bolt off. 2) You will need a right-angle drill adapter to drill out the hole on top of your track bar mount to fit the supplied nut and bolt for the track bar bracket. I ended up using a smaller bolt/nut that fit through the existing hole. 3) Disconnecting the sway bar links alone, as indicated by the instructions, does not give you enough droop to get your springs out. I had to jack up one side of each axle in order to get the opposite-side spring out. The lift springs are of course even longer, and I had to resort to spring compressors (external) to get the front springs in. Another option would be to start removing control arms, but what a pain-- just rent the compressors.

Quality Stuff

Installed this lift on a brand new Jeep and didn't notice any difference in ride quality over stock. It fit 35 inch tires with no rubbing issues. Definately recommend
