Reviews: Synergy Grab Handles

Bought this for my wife. She hates the stock webbing grab handles (they're not positioned optimally). These handles though, she loves them. It is a Do-It-Yourself installation. You'll need to drill into the plastic covering the pillars. But take your time and it's not too bad. If you're not comfortable with a drill or drilling into the trim, get help or look elsewhere. I didn't give it 5 stars only because the measurements for drilling, well it didn't inspire confidence. The measurements are across a curved surface. I didn't know if I should take the curvature into account or not. In the end I guestimated. For the manufacturer, instead of a picture with the measurements written on them, I've seen post-it note style templates that can be laid over the plastic for superior accuracy in drilling those holes in the trim.

Nice grab bar. Not a bad install, just pay attention to the directions. Much better than the nylon grab handles I was using to get into my lifted LJ. Not in the way of my view either.
