Very well built and takes a little time to install but well worth it. Be sure to measure the bolts before installing and you shouldn’t have any problems.

It looks great, it's strong, and it was an easy install.

Tire carrier and bumper are well made = a little heavy and function perfectly. It would be easier with a extra set of hands but I did it solo with a little shade tree ingenuity. Instructions work for those with patience and analytical minds. More than enough fasteners to get the job done. important to understand that nothing's perfect not even your jeep, some slight mods might be necessary. If you want to play 31 flavors and change parts for the latest & greatest cool factor, that's OK, but if you want some peace of mind the next time someone hooks you to a snatch cable weld this thing on for Sherman Tank Performance and don't forget the. 99 cent rattle can of black.

great looking and well made tire carrier. the tire carrier has a strong hinge and handle that function well. it also has a safety feature that keeps the tire from hitting the side of the jeep if it is left unsecured. couldnt ask for a better product

Best quality and best value. I wouldn't change a thing, I am very happy. Not I can finally get the tire off the tailgate.

Already commented with bumper review, but this carrier is the bomb! Super tough, lost of adjustment depending on tire size and easy to use. No rattles - the rubber bushing at the handle snugs in tight for a solid closed position. The spare (33") is now actually lower than when on stock mount which gives me more vision out back.

Was looking at more durable carriers for my CJ and not finding any. Found this one for newer models, but upon looking at the way it mounted, I could adapt it to fit my CJ. The rear bumper on my Jeep was replaced by the previous owner by square steel tube, so I need to bolt on additional steel tubing to mount the carrier, replacing the recommended bumper install per the instructions. A little bit of fab work and welding and it was mounted. Since it was for a newer model and the bolt patters were different, I cut off and reused the stock CJ carrier mount flange and welded it to the carrier's bracket after removing the studs. Came out great and makes fitting the 33" spare a breeze.

'94 YJ Install. If you're installing on the SB XRC rear bumper, mount the hinge and latch brackets to the bumper loosely before installing the bumper or else it's a "B" to get it on there. You think SB would tell you that in the instructions or 4W Parts would tell you when you drop $2k with them but they don't.

Stock spare tire carrier puts a lot of load on the tailgate when carrying an oversized tire. This tire carrier relieves this problem by transferring the weight of the tire to the bumper and frame. Solid construction, took about two hours to install. You will need to extend the wiring for the brake light a little as the stock wiring will not be long enough for the new tire carrier to swing open. Overall it is a pretty good look and is solidly built.

Great design and easy to install

Really like the look of the tire carrier, appears very sturdy, my only complaint is the instructions that come with it. (the instructions for the front and rear xrc bumpers as well) It took more time that it should have due to having to decipher the instructions when some better technical writing and illustrations would have made it so much easier. With that said, I love the tire swing, very tough looking and feeling, and would recomend it.
