I got this bumper about a year ago and about 6 months in I was at a red light and a old man passed out at the wheel and smacked right into my front end at atleast 35mph stopped him cold and smashed the front end of his escape to the window and the motor pushed out into the road my bumper and the rest of my tj but a popped head light from the force was without a scratch talk about a unstoppable bumper I love it to death and I just bought the back bumper incase another old man passes out hahaha and the bumper has great clerance for rocks and downed trees can't wait to get the back one on!

Great bumper. Went on easy, I put it on by myself. I added two ProComp lights, a XRC8 winch, and a couple D-rings and the bumper looks sharp. I wouldn't leave it blank, it looked very silly with no winch or lights.

This is a great product for someone wanting to install a winch OR just wants a custom front bumper. I drove mine for a year before I put a winch in and it still greatly enhanced the front end. It's a solid product, took literally 15 minutes to install. Only con was I didn't prefer the two light mounts on the top since I wasn't using them, but for the price I can't complain.

I too got grief about getting the bumper especially since Hanson is here in salinas ca, but this bumper has been nothing less than awesome!!! It looks and performs great! I removed the old and mounted the new in about 40-45 min. I added the xrc8 winch with it which has also been great!! Some helpful advice, you need T-55 socket to remove the oem bumper, mount the winch first, if using matching winch hook up the negative wires before mounting. Also pick up coil spacers, your front end may sag 1" to 1.5" Enjoy!!!

It installed easy. Perfect fit for my 1989 wrangler YJ, no drilling required. I found it easier to install the winch onto the bumper before installing the bumper to the Jeep.

This bumper is great!! Bolted right up to factory frame on 06 TJ. I would suggest you put winch on bumper before installing bumper.

just got the xrc winch bumper installed. have't got to test it yet will sometime next week. will be buying the src rear tire carrier bumper and rock sliders next year.

I purchased the Smittybilt XRC Rock Crawler, Bumper from 4 Wheel Parts in Vegas, for my 1988 YJ Wrangler a couple of months ago and I love it. Although I did have some trouble mounting it up. Apparently if your jeep was assembled in Canada (like mine was) the bolt pattern is different. The bottom bolts went right in but I fought the top bolts for about a hour before realizing they were never going to fit and calling the Smittybilt teck. After he told me about the specifications being different for Jeeps assembled in Canada, I decided I was going about this the wrong way. first I mounted the Smittybilt 9,500 winch to the bumper before even starting the bumper install. then I bolted up the bottom bolts. I then used a 2x3x1/4" inch steel plate on the top of each frame rail and welded both sides up solid. The bumper turned out beautiful and is about as solid as it gets. Granted I wouldn't look forward to having to take it off at this point, but because I like the looks and the workmanship of the XRC bumper I never plan on changing it. By the Way. I'd love to see somebody try to steal the bumper or the wench now that it's on. JUST SAYING

Front bumper bolted right on my 1999 TJ after I removed the stock fog light tabs, installed my winch and lights it looks great!

I had a small accident and needed to replace my front bumper, I found I got a great product and extremely simple to install. Great overall fit and I am getting ready to buy a smittybilt rear bumper and I hope to add a winch as soon as possible as well. I also received the bumper the day after placing my order. Great customer service.

I have been wanting to get this bumper since I got my Rubicon almost 3 years ago. Just came back after being stationed in Japan for 2 years. I replaced the stock bumper and this is worth every penny. FYI if you're getting this bumper with a winch PLEASE MAKE SURE you install the winch to the bumper before installing the bumper to the Jeep. There is no way you'll be able to fit you hand to put the screws in!!! Highly recommended A+++

The XRC front bumper is even more intimidating than it seems on the screen. This is a head turner and you have no fear of crumpling your front end with this beast on the front. Easy install. Winch fits perfect, holds lights. Sturdy and beautiful!

The bumper looks amazing and is worth EVERY PENNY!!! This thing is super well built, so glad I waited for it (was back ordered for 8ish weeks). I have seen the cheaper ones and how they can chip a rust. This thing looks like it could plug a deer and still be okay… I would prefer not to try though… My ONLY problem was I had to drill the holes bigger because I think the previous owner of my TJ maybe bumped and tweaked the frame just a smidge. Again, not the bumper’s fault. Only 4 and not 5 stars because the winch platform is super tight. I put on a 35K winch on with no problem but I had to JB weld the cable guide to the front of the bumper because there was Zero room for the back of the bolts. But overall, wouldn’t change a thing!!! Love it!!!!!!! GET THIS ONE!

I love the bumper. Everything is great about it.. However, the predrilled holes were not in the correct position. I found that most people say the same thing. So, Smittybilt needs to do better at that. Just be prepared to do some alteration.
