I give it 4 stars . Looks good on jeep

Like look of bumper . Option to place accessorise on it from jerry cans and hi lift jack. A place for third brake lite. Antenna mount. The tire gate latch is flush with bumper and secures well. Only thing with bumper it is heavy ,but built real good.

Beast of a bumper

Only complaint is the difficulty of setup and adjustment. Once it is adjusted properly it works flawlessly. It is a beast. I have a 37" tire mounted on it along with 4 two gallon rotopax cans in the jerry can slots. Also have my high lift on it. I have been running this bumper combo for 2 years and it still works perfect. Latch is perfect, opens and closes as it should. Pretty impressed especially with the weight I have on it. I wheel this rig hard so it does get some abuse. No rattles or issues with the latch. All I have to say to those who have problems with the latch. It takes a lot of time and patience to adjust it properly. It also helps to have an extra set of hands or two to install and adjust it. If you can get it dialed in you will be very happy. I plan on going up to 40" tires this winter and am confident the carrier can handle the added weight with no issues. Now if they would develop something to help lift the large tire on and off the carrier that would be awesome.

Great Product | Installation Notes Included | 2015 Rubicon

This bumper is exactly what I hoped for. No complaints at all, its very sturdy, and the integrated holders are great. Installation on 2015 Rubicon: Took two people to install this, no way is it a one person job. Total time to install after OEM bumper was removed 3 1/2 hrs. 1) Make sure you have the muffler off for installation. There is just not enough room otherwise. 2) Installation of the lug studs in the tire carrier will require a press. Take it to your local tire shop and toss them $5 to press them in, it will save you a lot of headache. 3) Loctite! You will want to use it on all primary bolts and nuts. Enjoy

Installed on a 2012 Rubicon two door

Installation took two people as it's heavy and needed to be careful as the bumper is a close fit (1/8 to 1/4inch) from body at rear. Adjustment of tire carrier required me to grind the striker pin hole to allow for more vertical adjustment of pin. Also the cam lock needed to have a separate hole drilled to get the gate to close in between the factory pin settings. Otherwise this unit met all my expectations and more. I will be towing this Jeep behind my RV so the extra fuel will come in handy if the RV runs low and gate provides lots of options to add other items like shovels, jacks, axes and other gear. Use your imagination for bolting items on and you'll be surprised what you can do. It has a provision to add back up lights and I added some to great effect. I don't think the specs or ad mentioned this.

Nice bumper

This is an awesome, high quality, bumper that looks good and should last longer than the jeep. I put mine in a 2013, 4-door Rubicon and am pretty happy. As I am learning smittybilt, does not have the greatest instructions but they are adequate if you take your time and have a basic knowledge of bumpers and tire carriers. Well that may be too kind. My instructions did call out the wrong part number for the latch pin and not every part was numbered, so a bit guessing was needed. The fit is really tight on the frame with my 2013 so I recommend having a rubber mallet. The nut plates needed for the bumper are in the tire carrier box so open and inventory everything. Make sure to pick up grease for the carrier as none is included. One thing that miffed me. Don't expect to use the third light without doing some wiring. It's s just not gonna happen.

Bumper/carrier

Make sure there’s no excess material on the carrier nut. Had to clean mine out before it would thread. Seems alright though. Goes to edge of rear tube fenders for good protection

Solid

This bumper has been on my jku just over 4 years now, and overall has been great, yes it’s adjustable, which is nice because I have had to adjust it, does need greased and lubed every month or two so if you can handle that it’s not bad at all, has been carrying a 35” tire, jack and one full jerry can 60% of the time, and 40% of the time 2 full jerry cans, it does rattle a little but planning on doing modifications in the future to work that out
