Its so nice to have the wireless remote so you can check the lines and snatch block and any of the other connections because it has a much farther range than the 12 ft. wire! I have never had a winch that free spooled as easy as this one!

This winch looks great on a Silver Jeep with a Black bumper. I have only used it once to pull the Jeep up the hill (you have to install rope under a load). The pull was a good speed and smooth. The install was somewhat easy. However mounting the electrical box to the winch itself was a PAIN. I found it best to remove the front brace bar of the winch and then the box fits on easily.

The wireless controller works great from start n the cab or 20 ft away!

Heavy but, quite the workhorse.....Installation was easy, and instructions were complete...kind of a surprise in this post-covid era.

Compact winch with good load capacity. Everything worked fine right out of the box; no messing with the wireless control to connect to the relay controller..easy setup. The only thing I don't like about it is that the factory provided hook is not removable from the winch line eyelet if you want to use a different attachment point.

Installation was easy and instructions were clear. Quality of the unit is superb and Smittybilt offers great value for the price paid. Haven't actually used it off road yet, but I'm confident this winch will perform as expected.

Just got this winch installed on my new bumper. Looks great on my Gladiator and it works great. I really like the remote controller. Just need to find a way to keep hook from scratching the bumper.

Picked up the X20 (12k capacity) with synthetic rope for my 2500 HD long bed after getting stuck in the snow and having to be winched out (#neveragain). Mounted on a cradle so I could use from the front or rear. Finally got a chance to use this past weekend when we found a 2WD Ram truck and a Ram TRX both stuck in the sand at Lake Isabella. Winch pulled both out with no problem, including a Jeep that had tried to pull out the TRX with a kinetic rope. The X20 is easy to use, power to spare and is worth every penny Was a little concerned about having it mounted on a cradle called hard mounted but it wasn’t an issue. Very happy with the purchase and the setup. Highly recommend this winch!
