I purchased this bracket only because I can not afford to drop a 300 bucks on a tire carrier right now. This bracket was the perfect short term fix. It is solid, well made, and easy to install. It puts a lot of weight on the door so I hoping that I can upgrade next year but at least I have piece of mind that I have a spare the same size as my tires in case I have a flat.

I have 31x10.5 15 tires on 8" mags. Too big for the stock mount. This bracket bolted right on with no problems. Once I figured out which tire height I wanted the studs at. Screwed in the studs, set the tire on and tightened her up. Perfect, just under the 3rd brake light and plenty of space from the tailgate. Mount is secure and solid. No noise, no slop. Tire doesn't move at all. Exactly what I was looking for. Multiple applications so I can put it on other tire mounts too if need be. Installed in 15 minutes with no trouble and no hurry. Even a city girl can do it:)

With the extra distance my Jk Rubber rear tire bump stops were much too short with my 33/12.5/r17 new tires. Perfect solution was cutting 2" radiator hose to 4.5 inches length and fitting over top of existing bump stops. I was able to fit securely without even removing rear tire and they stay in place well and prevent the shakes and rattling and I am sure will help prolong the life of the JK tire mount. Hope this is of some help
