Smittybilt RAD

Used this many times to air down quickly. Took a couple minutes to learn how it works. My friends used it and were also satisfied. I was confident with the tire pressure gauge getting down to 15 psi on steel wheels without bead locks under my TJ. The traction was better and so was the ride.

Does what it's designed to do. Slowly.

It's a fine piece of equipment. Very precise and very slow. Took almost 5 minutes per tire to drop from 35 psi to 25 psi (35" BFG KM3). If speed's what you're after, use a knife and one of those handheld tire gauges. Otherwise, this'll do for exactness.

Needs to be broken in

Needed a little WD40 to start working & needed to be broken in but after it worked amazing.

Tire Deflator

Works well. I started out as a novice with a general knowledge of how this would work. The instructions were easy to follow and using this deflator gives you a feel for when the valve cores come out. Only reason it is four stars is because deflation takes 5 minutes per tire to take out 10 psi. I use it on every trip up in to the mountains and it has definitely helped to cushion my ride on 10 ply tires. No issues whatsoever with the deflator. I would definitely buy it again as it is a must have for the trail or your "tricky bag."

Work well, easy to use

Deflators are compact, easy to set end pressure, although there aren't any graduations or reference marks on them. I did observe that after setting them to 25 PSI using my Jeep's spare tire (30X10.5R15), when using them on my Frontier's tires they deflated to under 20 PSI.

Simplify Life

The time spent off-road is limited. Anything that can increase the time you have for fun is a good thing. Being able do air down all four tires at the same time and to the same psi simply gives me more time off-roading. These deflaters are fast, are made of quality brass, and are adjustable to the pressure I want. I am on the back roads faster, meaning I am having more fun sooner. I love them.

Work as advertised

Worked well,I have only used them once so far. I set the deflators using the spare tire, I set them at 13 pounds. Then I put them on the tires. After airing down I checked the tire pressure in each tire, one was @ 10psi. The others were within a pound of each other. From that experience they may be a little touchy when setting them up initially. However hey are simple to use and the were alot quicker then deflating one tire at a time. The tires were close enought to where I needed them, with exception of one. I would recommend you do a quick pressure check after they are done see if you need to add or remove a little air from each tire, until you are comfortable that they are where you set them.

Good Product

These are fine. Just the initial setup takes a long time to air down a tire and then set each deflator. Once that is done, you should be good to go. Just make sure you double check the tire's pressure...

Saves time

The little rubber O-ring fell out the first use, still didn't have any issues though. Also do not use them on your spare for calibration, you need the wieght of the vehicle.

pretty good, does the job

It took a bit of doing to get the air pressure "in the ballpark" but once set does the job intended. You do have to pay attention because everynow and then one will not seal properly at the set psi and may bleed a bit extra.Overall I am glad I got them.

Excellent Quality Excellent Price

They are excellent quality. They do what they say and make air downs much faster and easier for a 1 person job. Once you get them dialed in they are fairly accurate +- 2psi. Cheaper than Staun and are almost an exact copy. They work great and come in a leather pouch for storage. These are a must have for serious 4X4 enthusiast.

Great for airing down at the beach

I use these to air down at the beach on my truck and trailer. I recently purchased a couple sets for friends so they would quit borrowing mine.

A good deflator for a great price.

It makes deflating easy. Screw on, wait a few, and then remove. How easy does it get.
