The annex is easy to set up and makes a nice area for a cot or twin size mattress for another person or kids. It is also a nice place to have a toilet and area to set or hang your wet or dirty clothes.

Received this about 10 days after we ordered it. We opened up our smittybilt XL and easily installed the annex. It’s well made, heavy and sturdy. It’s larger than I thought and we’re excited to use it. I wish it was zippered on all 4 sides at the top so it would be totally enclosed but it’s not a deal breaker.

Great tent and the size is perfect if you have a big family, the annex is well worth they buy and is great for enclosed dry free storage or extra sleeping.

We have only used this once so far but it made a huge difference. We have enough room in the annex for our younger son to sleep and also store our food and clothing. Also gives privacy for changing. It was fairly easy to set up with two adults.

RTT Annex. I didnt know how much I needed it! It's awesome to have a place to stand and change, or to stash gear. I like how it does not interfere with my 3/4 awning, and is a super easy item to install.

Instructions were easy to understand and the tent installed without issues. This was my first roof tent install and it took a few hours but we figured it out. The only issue I have is there not much instruction on the awning that hangs out ladder on the front of the tent. I was able to get it assembled with a second person and an extra ladder, but I’ve tried to find some videos on if it’s possible to collapse this awning into the tent when I fold it back up and it seems like it should fold in but I can’t figure out how so I had to take it apart. The mattress is pretty comfortable but I think I’m going to buy an extra mattress pad for it. The USB LED strip and the 12v adapter and extensions cord work great!! I have this on top of my NOBO 10.6 and it’s a bit hard to put some of the rain fly poles into the drilled holes in the tent frame.

This adds so much more space to the overlander tent. It's an awesome place to be able to keep gear in and or just be able to stand all the way up without having to get out of the tent. I'm very happy with both the overlander xl tent and this annex. I would recommend it for sure.

It’s great in many ways. Fits great. Keeps wind from blowing up into the tent. Gives me a place out of the elements to take off shoes and other dirty clothing.

Great quality! The annex where it meets the frame have velcro ends to help seal it from bugs and weather very nice little detail.

Great added room to our Roof top tent. It gives us room to put the kids in the lower part on cots while camping as a family.

We do not use this every time we camp but it sure is nice to have when it suddenly rains and your friends in ground tents need a dry place to stay.

I haven't been able to try it out yet i know im going to love it I was wondering if I could get a free awning because I have purchased the gen 2 and the annex within a year or so For me to review and show off for new potential customers.

Must have! Extra room and privacy. We placed our small bathroom tent inside the annex in order to use the honey bucket at night trot privacy and protection.

It is exactly what we needed to take our exploring to the next level. I have been apprehensive about spending the money but it is definitely worth every penny.

This is a great product idea, a little bit pricey but if your into privacy for things like 4x4 on the trail showering, ports-potty or a change of clothing, it will be much appreciated and a must if you have a tag-along non-male gender. It's also large enough for two grand kids to crash into with full size sleeping bags or a hammock.

A must have for the XL. I do wish they had a shorter option. You need to have the tent at least 80 inches off the ground to utilize it. Not a problem on top of a larger vehicle, but I built a small trailer for my RTT/basecamp. It would be nicer if it could sit a bit lower.
