Reviews: Smittybilt Mag-Armor Magnetic Trail Skins

I used these on the trail last week and I believe they saved my paint from a lot of NV pin-striping! I drove on the freeway at 65mph and no problem at all. I did wash my Jeep the next morning and took the off, cleaned them up, and re-rolled them into the tube they came in. A lot of warnings not to leave them on for more than 48 hours. I wasn't planning on it,but curious as to why. Paint fade is the only thing I can think of. I will use them on all trails going forward.

Worked perfectly. Kept the paint from getting scratched while offloading. The small magnets that go right below the doors don’t stick perfectly due to getting in and out, but that’s not a design flaw. all in all very happy with my purchase!

Very easy to use. The magnets stick on n come off with ease. 4WP were a few bucks cheaper and that was good.

Does these magnetic skins come in any other colors like Red

These things are great. I?ve used them from heavy mud to thick brush. And I haven?t had any issues with them yet. I store them under the mat in the cargo area of my Jk so they are always available.

They keep tree branches from pinstriping the side of your jeep on the trail. They also look pretty cool on my white Jeep. Unfortunately you are supposed to remove them when not in use or I would probably leave them in place. Also make sure your jeep is clean before you put them on, as anything trapped beneath could scratch your paint.

Nice overall; One of the small rocker pieces doesn?t want to stay and out of the box one piece had a folded over corner. The rest work as advertised. I am going to see if I can exchange or replace the 2 pieces above. If so then 5 stars.
