I researched and researched these portable compressors. Found myself coming back to this Smittybilt again and again. The CFM rating, PSI rating, etc. all top notch when comparing to other compressors. The best part, it has one of the highest CFM, PSI, ratings but when comparing to like models from other manufacturers, this one was less than half the cost. I understand that it is not a 100% duty cycle unit, but for what I need it for (filling up four 36 IROKS when jumping back on the pavement) this unit performs flawlessly. Highly reccomend this unit.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this unit performed. Not only did it air up all four 33"x 12.50" tires on my Jeep, but it also aired up my friend's Jeep with 33's and another with stock tires. We even aired up a Toyota PU with only 5 lbs of psi up to 35 lbs psi! FOUR vehicles in under 45 minutes! To me that's value. The unit did get hot at this point. I highly recommend this unit to everyone that goes off road and needs to air down. Airing your tires back up will be a simple breeze for your own rig and your buddy's as well.

Just bought this on the reccommendation of Mike at the Fresno store instead of one of those power tanks. (Didn't like having to fill them up every other time) He says he has been using it for the last year on all his vehicles. Gonna use it this weekend at Ducy Ershim. Did a trial run at home in my garage and it worked fantastic. Took my 35's from 10 to 30 psi in under 2 minutes. Great carrying bag that is heavy and compact, which for a jeep is a must!!!!!

Worked great and fast. After a weekend off road trip. The smittybilt compressor worked its magic and had all of my tires back at the appropriate pressure within minutes. Its way faster than my viair!!!!!

I love this compressor. I have owned and used it for over a year for my Jeep Wrangler and for a lot of other uses as well. I was able to get a Japanese Female Connector and used a brass close fit nipple to attach a Female US air chuck so I can attach any device I need. This compressor has helped us out a ton and I highly recommend it.

I bought this compressor along with ARB deflator and ARB hose. ARB comes with 1/4" quick connects. Smittybilt has a size that 2 shops couldn't figure out what they were. So we cut hose in half and put connectors that are 1/4". Now I can use Smittybilt hose and 1/4" tools. Overall still a good compressor that is way inexpensive compared to ARB. The inflator that comes with Smittybilt also needs to attached with clear acces to stem. If you need to come at stem at angle and you have only inch or two clearance it won't work. Look at end of deflator it is a box with short hose to connect. I have Fuel rims.

Inflated 33" Goodyear Duratrac LT285 X 70R17 from 15 to 28 psi in 1.5 minutes. Ambient temperature approximately 55 degrees F.

It works well! Only complaint is the carrying bag it came in looks like it won't last long. Already has a small hole in the inside.

Packaged well, works as it should. Included carry bag was trashed, foam packing was imbedded in bag material. Bag had 2” split in bottom seam, basically not usable.

I bought mine a few years back. It took awhile before the hose(s) needed service. I noticed others had replaced the yellow hose and fitting with standard American (not Japanese) fittings. Then it was easy to get a real hose on this otherwise strong workhorse. Factor that into your buying decision and it's still a better value than anything else out there. Don't take my word for it - drop way too much $$ on a Viair and see what (doesn't) happen. Or save yourself some time and trouble and get this powerful batt powered compressor.

I have a few hours of use on it now, No issues with the pump, it’s pretty large but it did the job. If you have a “standard size” factory type tire I would go with smaller pump. I needed it to air up my 35” pickup tires to 75psi when I leave the mountains at 8000’ ASL for return trip home. Previous pump couldn’t do it, this one got it done. I would prefer the fittings were standard couplings, and I wasn’t crazy about the screw on valve connector. That worked fine for large volume tires but small volume tires and air bags I lost half the air unscrewing from the valve. I would say it’s a good value for the money

My husband loves it, but agrees with other reviewers that the yellow hose is to flimsy and he's replacing some of the connectors with stronger parts. He's super happy with it though. I think guys are happier when they customize their stuff anyway.

airs up 35s on 17 fast , wish it came in a hard plastic for storage , the end to air up tire is screw on makes is a hassle , i changed it over to quick connect.

Awesome compressor! Fills up 33's and 35's very fast. Just wish it came with standard air fittings instead of their own style of fittings, but easy fix.

For the price, you can't beat it! After looking around, this air compressor was the best output for the money that I could find. It's a must have on the trail and inflation is fast. Takes about 1-2 minutes per tire to add 10 psi. Helped me get back on the road. Only two reasons it gets four stars. 1) Sometimes the rubber around the clamps gets in the way when you hook up to your battery but, that is easily fixed by moving the rubber. 2) It heats up quickly.
