Great way to get more storage for all the random stuff you want to keep in your jeep. The pouches are not huge but a good size. Installation went fast and looks good and you can still use the footman loop.

Keeps everything in its place

This thing is BEEFY! I've seen bumpers made out of thinner metal than the mount for this console. Once you figure it out and get it mounted it really does stay put and does its job well. The MOLLE mounting straps that go over the metal base look like they would sag if you heavily loaded the pouches, I won't be putting anything heavy in there until I've reinforced the center. All of my MOLLE pouches from the Army fit on there with no issues.

This product is great if you need some extra storage space. Installing it requires some patience and care. You'll have to drill into the top of your windshield frame. I love that its MOLLE/PAL so I can use the extra pockets for my bookbag. The structure of the cross member is very strong, I am about 260 and I can stand on it and dance around on it without a problem. It also makes a great spot to hang out on while taking a break from trail riding around with your buddies. (It get bolted on to the frame of the windshield for the front, and the rear gets these hose clamp looking things that wrap it onto the top of the sound bar in the 4Dr). One very big complaint I have with this product is that it drops into the way of your rear view mirror. I even dropped the position of the mirror to as far down as it goes, and it is still in the way. For the most part, Its a good product. Might get the GEAR Seat covers if I don't get racing seats.

Use as a everyday perment fixture

This console is super cool. Easy to install If you are still using your freedom panels, will need to make several modifications (none are difficult)

Customer Service said that this could NOT be installed with the 2013 Freedom Top. That must have been CYA. It took all of 15 minutes to install. I've take my tops off and on now multiple times with no issues. The pocket combination is pretty useless. I've picked out some functional ones and will replace the ones provided. For the price this is disappointing. I also have the tailgate unit and that is great too!

Very cool design. Requires some assembly. be careful when tightening canvas to the metal plate as the seams may come undone. If this happens its very easy to fix with minimal sewing skills. Don't add too much weight to pouches as this will cause them to sag and obscure your rear view mirror. This product is very handy and easily installed.

Despite problems with other smittybuilt products, this turned out to be very durable and gives my jeep the custom look I was looking for. Only problem was drilling out the rivets, but a little tugging and problem was solved.
