Reviews: Smittybilt Bumper Brackets and Adapters

I was looking for a good bumper for my 79CJ5 for a long time and this allowed me to use the bumper i wanted. It was easy to install and works great.

I had been waiting for Poison Spyder to release a Gladiator Bumper to match my PSC Bruizer front bumper. I called them a few months ago and they told me they were just going to make an adapter to use a JL bumper. Well looks like Smittybilt beat them to it. Pretty simple install. Works great. You do have to relocate your license plate. But theybprovide a mount and lights with the kit.

Easy installation. Required enlarging a couple of holes on the frame. Direct bolt up, plenty of hardware included. Only wish similar brackets were made for the rear.

I put a YJ front bumper onto a CJ using these. There is VERY few good looking bumpers for a CJ!! And thankfully I found this adapter!! So now I got the bumper I WANTED!!! Thank you very much!!!!!!!!

Look like they are good quality. Have not got the bumper mounted yet.
