Reviews: Smittybilt 3/4" D-Ring Shackle (Zinc coated) - 13047

While designed for towing, I have used these in several applications. I have a heavy e-bike and the bike rack sometimes is on the back of a camping trailer. The rack itself has to be ratcheted up to take weight off the flimsy trailer hitch, especially on rough roads. Using these D-rings allows me to use the ratcheting straps by running them through the D-ring. The D-rings are then held onto the top of the trailer using wire cables. Previously the straps were in contact in with the edge of the trailer and breaking. There are many uses for these beyond towing.

Very heavy duty shackle for my jeep's winch . Appears like it will handle heavy loads. Just what I needed.

Before getting this product, I didn't pull many people out when stuck. I always let someone else in our group do it. I wanted to try out my new D Rings, so I tried it. They worked so well, now I'm the "go to" guy. I'm having so much fun pulling out stuck vehicles that my next investment is a winch.

I use the product to hook up to trucks and pull them out of the mud and sand. the best product when u have to hook up to another vehicle.

This Shackle is a must have for offroad recover. They work great and very reliable.

my truck is 2wd so it doesn't have tow hooks so i used these D rings to bolt on to my frame, it looks good and it works good

Product is great and easy to install. Works like it should and I reccomend it to anyone with D-Ring mounts.

Doesn't get any simpler, nice finish, durable, time proven design. Economically friendly just not much more you could ask for.

I CONSIDER THESE AS INSURANCE SHOULD YOU EVER GET STUCK OFF THE HIDDEN PATH AND ARE IN NEED OF A PICK POINT.ATTACH ANY TOW STRAP,CABLE OR WIFE/GIRLFRIENDS NYLONS AND GET PULLED OUT OF ANY SITUATION.LOL GREAT ADDITION TO BOTH FRONT & REAR BUMPERS. THANKS!!!!!!!

Does what you'd expect...

I got this to keep in my Jeep as a spare shackle. The finish is good and the threads on the pin fit well.

Epic. Great product. Never have had any issues at all.

Really nice addition to any bumper that needs them.
