This shackle gives you a point to recover your jeep when you have a three inch tube bumper on the back that doesnt have a recovery point

This really is a must have in your rig. I was going to but a hook for the receiver, but after looking at hooks compared to this D-ring setup the D-ring wins hands down. Its much more versatile than just a hook, not to mention stronger too.

Just plug it into your reciver & pull.

Simple, works, haven't had to use it yet from being stuck but seems to be stout enough for some heavy use, Nice to use if you con't have tabs on your bumper for D-Rings

With the receiver hitch mounted on the truck, I couldn't use a clevis on my rear bumper...the pin wouldn't go through the bottom hole in the clevis. This hitch D-ring is perfect. It's easy to put in when needed, take out when finished, and the hitch is a safe secure point to pull from!

Used within hours of purchasing out on the Rubicon pulling some poor stuck guy. Plating is good, worked as expected.

Simple, effective tool for quick tow strap/winch recovery. The fit could be a little better in the receiver as it is a little loose. Not sure how long the finish will hold up on the black d-ring, but that's nothing a can of spay paint can't fix. Again Smittybuilt makes another quality product for a bargain price.
