Reviews: Smittybilt 2.54 CFM Air Compressor - 2780

I read a few different reviews on compressors, from Dewalt and Milwaukee products to ARB and this Smitty compressor. The Smitty had good reviews in oniine comparisons and imcknsumer reviews. I debated the larger or smaller Smitty, and went with the smaller one in the hopes I can find a mounting location on my truck. I’ve filled my 33” (18” rims) from 20 to 50 psi and it works great! Took about 5 minutes per tire and was done in a single duty cycle. The pressure gauge doesn’t seem very accurate under 20 psi, based on using it with our paddle board, but otherwise I’m very impressed with the quality and performance. My friend bought the larger Smitty - it’s faster, and everything is bigger including the accessories. Both seem to be high quality for the money, work well, and aren’t super loud. I’d recommend either one.

This air compressor is perfect for what I needed! It may be worth getting the next bigger size, if you’re running large tires, but it only took a few minutes to air-up when I have needed to.

Bought this air compressor for off roading. Works like a charm. My uncle has the bigger version and this does the same just smaller. Love it so much. Makes airing up easier and faster for us every time. About 2 mins or less per tire.

It’s a great buy. Loving it not having to go look for somewhere to put air on my tires.

Great buy. Been using it since I got it. Real portable. Notice it gets a little warm but doesn't really struggle to fill up tires
