Best sub system just on plain versatility
I was skeptical that the sub and amp were too small and that with the top off would sound poor. I replaced the factory speakers with Polk Audio and they never sounded right until I installed the Stealth Pod. Plenty of bass without any distortion, top on or off. This is well designed and compliments my JVC stereo that has front, rear, and subwoofer inputs.
I purchased this pod for my 1980 CJ7 I loaded it with two 5 1/4" Kicker Speakers and they fit perfectly. Installation was easy and fast. Excellent product!
Simple install. Maybe 10 min per side. Way more sound projected out front. I'll see if anything changes after I get my amp installed.
Excellent subwoofer and stealth box. Everything comes with this setup. I had it preofessionally installed and it sounds great and adds alot of bass but not over the top.
Just recently purchased and installed these dash pods. Installation was a breeze with included wiring and instructions. Total time was under 25 minutes. Improves sound from front speakers, would highly recommend for sure!
Had my doubts this would perform like I had hoped as I was using a 10" sub box already. I thought the 8" would be lacking. But, after mounting this kit well to the panel, and placing deadening material behind it, packing it with poly.....Well, it pounds. No rattles, or distortion at all and it hits the really deep frequencies nicely. But, even better, it takes up NO space now in the back! Now, I feel it really justifies the investment! Thanks bigtime, this is pretty awesome.
speaker box fits in my YJ in front of the shifter just like the add says. The add also says some light trimming may be required, it was required, the plastic is very heavy duty, I ended up using a jig saw.
Bought these awhile back for my 2013 jeep unlimited. I had hopes of them fitting a 7.7 inch speaker. I Through my 6.5 inch ones in. I finally got around to to buying JL audio marine M770 ccx speakers, which are the 7.7 inch ones with the built in crossovers. If you are wanting a 7.7 inch they will fit if you open up the hole. I just used my Dremel and cut notches for the wider parts of the basket and then opened the hole up a little. JL's have a big basket and are deep. They fit fine. Do take care when you cut your hole to angel the wide crossover toward the spot for the tweeter. It is the widest inside. Installing the pods on the Jeep is a little tricky but it's definitely something you can do yourself if you have some basic skills. When the Pod mounts up and you drill in your screws they barely grab the row bar. as long as you hit it they mount pretty secure. Install directions are written well and provide pictures however there in black and white. Go to their web page and they have color photos which makes it a easier. I would buy these again for sure.
Very good speaker box, a little bit expensive but overall very nice fit on the hump and can withstand to the elements
