Expensive but essential to prevent bump steer and death wobble(this is not the only component needed). Also, the ability to adjust steering tension is really nice.
I purchased the RXJ2002 shock. A very good quality design and absorbs 99% of the pot holes Hawaii roads throw at you on a daily basis, considering our roads are like the Rubicon trail. I spent what I feel is a lot of money for this shock and Rubicon Express can't include the $25 relocation bracket as a standard, redonkulous. The shock barely fits in the stock position and given the tight fit, I am going to relocate above the axle so it doesn't get hit by a rock. I gave it five stars for quality, but three stars for skimping on the relocation bracket.
I own a 2016 JKU Rubicon. 2.5 inch lift, RE control arm drop brackets achieving within 1degree of factory caster. 35 12.50 Firestone M/Ts on 20s. 45k miles. The Rubi drove pretty dang good considering the departure from factory setup. I had unreasonable expectations as to how close to factory handling/steering I could get. Nailed it. The factory stabilizer certainly wasn't worn out, just not adequate. This stabilizer made a good driving Jeep a perfect driving Jeep. 7 clicks out gives the steering a slightly weighted feel with no feed back. The larger 10ply tires tend to react to the rural less than glass roads here in central Alabama. This stabilizer has truly sold me on a heavier duty, adjustable steering stabilizer. Will become a staple on any future builds.
