Reviews: Rubicon Express Leaf Springs

These springs were recommended to me as the most durable ones for an XJ, by a very experienced NAXJA member. XJ springs are notorious for going flat. These are less than half the price of Deavers.

Originally lifted my YJ with a competitors lift kit but on a trip to Moab a front leaf spring broke. Purchased Rubicon Express front springs to finish my trip. The following year I went back to Moab and broke the competitors rear spring. Replaced those with Rubicon Express also and this year did the Rubicon Trail and back to Moab with no problems. Extremely pleased with the quality of these springs.

There is no other spring at this price point as well built and full featured as the Rubicon Express Extreme Duty Military Wrap spring. I have used this 4.5" spring exclusively on my SUA '93 Wrangler set up with with 5/8" lift boomerang shackles,1" body lift with shock tower extensions all around and 15" travel front shocks on 35" tyres for many years. The rig is 40% trailer queen rock crawler, 2% grocery getter and 58% garage dweller. I do not run track bars or a sway bar, and only minimal bump stops, so these springs provide incredible flex which most people tell me is the most flex they've ever seen out of an SUA leaf sprung rig.

Installed on my 89' Cherokee w/31"x10.5" Tires. Looks like 5" or 5.5" after install. Rides real smooth. Very nice upgrade to my 20 year old worn out and broken 4" leaf springs. Definitely recommend. These springs are just what I needed. With a heavy tire carrier and large spare tire my stock springs were sagging to the point of flatness. With the heavy duty 4.5 lift my jeep is sitting like there is no weight on them at all now.

Exactly as described. Fit my 2001 keep Cherokee perfect.

The nob on the bottom didn't fit on my 98 jeep xj differential it was to big had to drill out to fit properly

Great price for top quality springs. I got more than I expected. Military wraps, shims between leafs and more. I'm just a regular consumer not a shop or have any incentive to write this.

Had lifted my '00 XJ with bolcks on stock springs. Both springs broke so I replaced them with the Rubicon Express 3.5" springs and ditched the blocks. The ride is a little more firm then stock but not uncomfortable. The rear sits about and inch higher than it did with the 3.5" blocks.

Great product no complains. I installed it in my 98 Jeep Cherokee. Only thing I will say I tried using my rough country leaf springs brackets but it gave it an extra inch of height. Had to install these with oem brackets to be exactly at 4.5in of lift. Besides that I’m really happy with them. Though I will say they are stiff. So recommend you having some good shocks.
