Reviews: Rubicon Express Brake Line Sets

Bought these to replace Crown Manufacturing brake hoses that have a colored protective outer sleeve that was cracked and frayed. (Crown by the way indicated it was cosmetic only and doesn’t jeopardize the hose). The end that attaches to the caliper is not round like the OEM and Crown hose that prevents Installing incorrectly. These Rubicon Express hoses have a rectangular fitting. This allowed the hose to attach to the caliper in a choice of two directions. Have yet to take the rig off-road to see how they hold up. By the way, the Crown logo is on these Rubicon Express hoses so they must be manufactured by them for Rubicon Express…made in the USA.

The frony brake line set works great. The Rear line does not fit the Rubicon with the Dana 44. . The brake line end that is bolted to the differential is wrong.

Excellent quality lines - only reason not 5 star is that it would have been nice if the thread pattern was listed, as I had to buy an adapter fitting from NAPA separately to install. Also the banjo bolts were incorrect for the application and I had to drill out the end of the brake line fitting to install on caliper.

well i ran over some traffic cones due to some idiot running me off the road and it broke me rear line on my xj. when i went to put this line on i realized the entire union was crimped onto the line instead of my previous set up where the line had no union at the axle end. so it was a little more work then neccessary but it did the job. also the union is not brass which i prefer. definatly did the job and came with sweet stickers
